CooterHooterKnocker
"He's a speed-deficient safety, Safeties don't get faster as the years go on." Byrd is the third-ranked safety on his list, behind Antoine Bethea (who received an 'A') and Chris Clemons (who received a 'B') The grading scale is tied to a salary value: Polian believes an 'A' player should receive a contract with an annual value of at least $6 million, while a player with a 'B' should receive between $2-6 million per season. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/69366/bill-polians-surprising-take-on-jairus-byrd Quote 2019 Wish List 2. Psycho79
This is off-subject but I wish Ralph Wilson would replace Russ Brandon with Bill Polian.
f8ta1ity54
I wouldn't mind bethea as a replacement. But I think they are going to roll the dice on duke Williams.

emiller1181
5. Jairus Byrd’s landing spot? A secret. He wants $9 million a year, and I can’t figure out who will pay a safety that much. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/03/10/nfl-free-agency-monday-morning-qb/ Hmmm... So maybe the Bills were smart to not pay Byrd $10+ million to keep him? Funny how former GM's and analysts take things like the salary cap and value into account when assessing players. Quote Terry Pegula talking about Rex Ryan "This guy right here tells his realtor, 'Where does the most snow fall in the area? I want to live there.' How Buffalo is that?"
