hebert19
If we take ebron at 9...or trade down for that matter AMD take him...does that make our WR core "good enough"? I mean stevie woods and goodwin could be 3 solid WRs if we had a threat like him...hell Chandler even becomes more dangerous. Not having to draft a WR early makes this team better in 2014 if you ask me...as they rarely produce in year 1 like you would think. Thoughts? f8ta1ity54
I would not hate this pick. But I'm not sure if Whaley and Marone value the position enough to take one in the first round. Especially a receiver and not a run blocker since they want to be run heavy.
westphal
Stevie is a keeper for at least this year anyway. After that, we'll see. There is absolutely zero chance the Bills even consider getting rid of Stevie this year IMO, so may as well not even talk about it. Drafting a rookie (especially at an entirely different position) will not influence that.
bcw
Stevie isn't going anywhere. Fans that think he is clearly aren't listening to Whaley and Marrone. If Watkins is there at 9 I don't see any way they pass on him, but I highly doubt he falls to us. If he doesn't fall I'm fine with a pass catching te, who will basically be used like a wr. Woods and Goodwin are young and I expect they will take another step up in their 2nd year. Add in Stevie and think the unit will be decent. What they are missing is a red zone threat, which would really help this offense.

If Manuel takes a step forward this offseason into next year you will see them trend away from the run. I would not hate this pick. Tim M
If Manuel takes a step forward this offseason into next year you will see them trend away from the run. True, the play calling should be more balanced when the coaches have equally high confidence in both the running and passing attack. But whether that can be done with the OC we have, is doubtful at best IMO. Hopefully the changes/additions to the offensive coaching staff will be enough to overcome the perceived weakness at OC Quote My Adopt-A-Bill for 2013 is WR Mat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] (Wet Rubber Mat) if (ToErr == objHuman) { objForgive = objDivine; }
drewfla
I've heard zero about them trying to re-sign Chandler so I would definitely expect a TE in an early round unless they have some FA they are targeting.
Buffalo13
I've heard zero about them trying to re-sign Chandler so I would definitely expect a TE in an early round unless they have some FA they are targeting. Whaley said they want to keep him. He can't be too expensive and the cupboard is bare behind him so I'd like to see him back. If they don't get a deal done with him they'd better sign a FA before the draft even if they plan on taking one early. TE is too important to a developing QB to chance just handing the position to a rookie. Plus, the 3 really good projected immediate contributors all seem to have a really good chance of being drafted prior to our 2nd rounder and 9 may be too high to take one. Buffalo1
I would definitely keep stevie, he is a solid #2WR/possibly a #1, you get rid of him then you need a #1WR and a #2WR. Quote Circle the wagons
