Haven Moses
Begin the movement....Manuel may be serviceable but is not a Super Bowl winning QB. I talked to a Florida State Alum recently that saw him play at FSU and said Manuel was unusual in that he got worse as he had went thru his time at FSU. Good guy, has most of the intangibles....weird throwing motion and lack of touch and vision that will never get to be SBowl winning level. He is the 8-8 QB that will be the bridge to Bills next real QB after Jim Kelly. Playoffs in '15...:googly: Quote [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Victor7
Can't say I disagree. Not a Manuel fan myself. Trent Edwards 2.0 if you ask me, just more athletic. Flan
WR Height, but not WR Speed. we have two of the fastest WRs in the NFL right now in Graham and Goodwin. Quote “So shines a good deed in a weary world." ...Willy Wonka
Buffalo13
WR Height, but not WR Speed. we have two of the fastest WRs in the NFL right now in Graham and Goodwin. How about just WR "good". Height had me thrilled that we drafted James Hardy as opposed to DeSean Jackson. Example: If Marqise Lee is going to be the 2nd coming of Reggie Wayne, I couldn't care less that he is 6 feet tall instead of 6'3". Nuke
.Manuel may be serviceable but is not a Super Bowl winning QB. Nuff said. The NFL should be split into 2 types of teams . The team that wins the Super Bowl and the 31 teams that are building to win the Super Bowl. If EJ isn't the guy that can help them win the Super Bowl then they need to find someone that can. mikgaes
Move on Manuel. Or bring in real competition. Because real competition will bring to light Manuel's faults for the disbelievers. And those pining for WR height: The Bills signed it. Ramses Barden.
Buffalo13
Move on Manuel. Or bring in real competition. Because real competition will bring to light Manuel's faults for the disbelievers. And those pining for WR height: The Bills signed it. Ramses Barden. I'm glad we signed Barden but another teams 4th WR (at best) is hardly comforting. With all that height does he have even one career TD catch? And as for the Manuel stuff, I think even the supporters of EJ, which I am, would like to bring in another QB. But the point most of us are making is that history shows some guys need some time and I'm not going to watch one year of football and say the kid can't make it. Compare EJ's rookie year to Big Ben's. The numbers are similar. Ben's are better but not by a whole lot. The Steelers then won the Super Bowl the next year while Big Ben went 9-21 for 123 yards with 0TD and 2INT (and in my opinion a fumble that the refs gave him a TD on). My point is that the team around EJ needs to get a little better and he needs time. HE MAY FAIL. But it's no certainty. Oh yeah, and one other thing to consider in that comparison is that in 6 of Big Ben's rookie year starts, his defense held the other team to 10 or less points. In EJ Manuel's 10 starts the best our D gave him was 14 points at home against the Jets. Every other week EJ needed to score 20 to win that that was best case scenario. That's not easy for a rookie. I give him this year before I start saying he'll never be a good QB.

The Juice
Not sold on any of the "big" WRs that will be drafted in the top two rounds. It was said a few replies earlier, I'll take a 6'0 talk WR that draws the coverage of the opponents' best cb and still blows the top off defenses. Drafting a WR for size gets you Hardy,Limas Sweede or Malcolm Kelly. Id take Manziel over Manuel but other than that the only QB I want this draft is Logan Thomas in rd 7. Jenkins in rd2 would be a steal for TE, and his block would get him on the field. Not sold on any of the "big" WRs that will be drafted in the top two rounds. ddpderek
I think EJ will take a big step from year one to year 2. and if we draft a WR like Watkins or a top end Tackle that will help him to a large degree. TJ Graham has to be one of the worst starting wide outs in the NFL and I really hope hes not on the roster next season.
The Juice
Yeah , graham sucks. Coming up on the all important "year 3" when a WR is supposed to break out, or not. Not much faith in the latter, he's a go-route only WR with piss poor tracking skills. Goodwin is vastly superior.
bcw
I feel there is a lot of talent in our young wr's but they need a red zone threat. This is where the height helps. I'm fine with TJ Graham as the 4th or 5th wr but he has no place on the field when they are in the red zone.
