Options to "replace" Gabe Davis in the off season when Gab goes in Free Agency

Some are predicting Gabe Davis will get $44 million over 4 years when he hits Free Agency this March.

The Bills could re-sign Gab for that amount, or they could go in a different direction and target a different WR in Free Agency.
Maybe one with a different style/skill set?

  • Curtis Samuel would be a lot less.
  • Laviska Shenault?
  • Darnell Mooney?
  • Josh Reynolds?
  • K.J. Osborn?

Who would you prefer?

Note: PLUS drafting a 1st round WR.

IF Josh Allen is here they prob draft one or two.

Oh yeah.    One WR in the 1st round and another one in the 4th round.

But another veteran will be needed.    Gabe Davis, Trent Sherfield, and Deonte Harty are probably all gone after this year.

I had high hopes for Sherfield. I thought he could be a 2. Now I'm not convinced Diggs will be back, no matter how improbable a trade seems. Josh will want Davis back, so I expect Davis back.

Diggs will absolutely be back.

Gabe Davis may be the single biggest reason this offense has lost what it had from the end of the 2021 season.  That 200 yard, 4 td game against the Chiefs made the Bills brass think he was a #2.   Once we get a true #2 (maybe Kincaid can be that?) Gabe can go back to being our 3.

Because Gabe's contract is up and he becomes a Free Agent at the end of the season, he most likely won't stay with the Bills.   He would have to take turn down a lot more money from other teams to stay in Buffalo.
