The Evolution of the general staff

A professor of mine once noted that war and diplomacy are the meat and potatoes of history, although to be sure I would add economics, politics, and culture to that list its important to know something of the rise of the general staff.  Here now is Jonathan House on the General Staff.  He may seem somewhat familiar to you if you watched his deconstruction of the Wehrmacht's failure in Russia in their 3 excuses video that I have linked on here in many other threads.  So enjoy:
