Why not cheaper prices for consumers?

Isn't that the way free enterprise is supposed to work?

For the consumer?

Prices don't go down.  That's not how any economy works unless there's active deflation occurring.

Instead, since consumers are themselves workers, you need to increase their purchasing power.

No it's not.

Three benefits of the free enterprise system include an open opportunity for all to compete in the marketplace, the production of a variety of goods and services, and the idea that buyers and seller are free to decide what will be produced.

Private property, economic freedom, economic incentives, competitive markets, and the limited role of government are the characteristics of a free enterprise system. Private property: Private property means that individuals can own and make decisions about the use or sale of land, personal property, and other assets.Jun 30, 2022

1. How does this description apply in the USA and not in Russia?

2. Again, how does this apply to Russia?

1. So what? If your costs increase by 10%, are you justified raising your selling price by 20%?

2. Raising someone's pay by 5% when the cost of living has gone up 10% isn't doing anyone any favors.
