I disagree with splitting them, but not for any of these reasons.

I just don't want to complicate emergency response on the public end.

If you've got 2 different numbers all of a sudden when it used to be the same, there will automatically exist a cohort of emergency-havers that don't remember they've been split and are forced to wait longer to get help because of an extra transfer to a new person who's allowed to help them.

Plus it'll be harder for kids to remember two different emergency numbers so emergency situations where they're the ones who have to call are going to be more difficult to handle.

What does the first sentence read? Can you interpret that for me 🤦‍♂️!?

I'm not disagreeing with you.

The only point I said I disagree on is making a new emergency number.  The intent BEHIND making that new number I'm 100% on board with.

None of it is easy, but your idea isn’t feasible! Mine is 👍. To actually make a difference without sacrificing one of the “publicly/societal supplied services”. And as a person who is against growing government any further, I still think it’s an idea that really needs to be examined further.

It means I like the plan but we can find a better way to do it, procedurally speaking, that doesn't place the burden of the new system's growing pains on emergency-havers unlucky enough to make a mistake.

And that is what 911 as the sole number does, EXACTLY!!

What do you mean my idea?  We have the same idea except for making a new emergency number.  Keeping everything under 911 but sending cops to fewer scenes is perfectly feasible.

You’re hilarious. Have you ever had any experiences relating to any of this topic? I doubt it, yet somehow, you think you have it all figured out 🤣🤦‍♂️🤤. Ayeyaeyae

I'm confused as to how you think 911 works.

Someone calls 911.  The 911 operator takes their information and passes it along to the relevant first response team.  For cops, that's Police Dispatch.  Police Dispatch radios units.

We can do what we both want to do if the 911 operator simply sends the information to someone besides Police Dispatch.  It's much easier for someone getting paid to fulfill this specific civic duty to learn new protocol than it is for the public- including young children- to learn new protocol.

Yes, I understand how it works kiddo! I don’t think you have any clue how it does!!

I just explained how it works, so unless I got something wrong- which I didn't because you'd have corrected it- then you know for a fact I do.

The next question is, does he put gas in his mother’s minivan  before he returns it?

Good thing you don’t have that problem
