If anything we have less pressure than we did last year, no one is picking us to win the super bowl. At the very least, this is the Jets home game of the series. That alone("holding serve") in opening week with all things otherwise even puts the pressure on them. @Victor7 I've started to reply a couple of times, but don't know if I actually sent any of them. When you mentioned the Jets winning the preseason SB or however you said it, to the best of my knowledge that's the media and not them. We had that last year, and should be able to relate and not forget so quickly. Heck, I seem to remember some members who seemed like they might pop blood vessels from the rage the positive talk about the Bills ignited in them. Here's to hoping this will be the first of a number of wins that brings it back quickly so that I can be amused by the hatred again. :) @The Chosen I agree with much of what your post says. I'll even one up you and suggest(what the Halloween episode of 1stt take "Steven A[MI} Goes Off on Green Bay" echoed my thoughts on) that the GM was subverting AR after getting rid of their best WR and repeatedly refusing AR's requests for upgrades. The Jets improved at the position they most needed to. Aaron Rodgers even had started a friendship with Zach Wilson in the joint practices the prior year before either had any idea they'd be teammates, and AR was truly appreciative of ZW's friendship and help as he adjusted to NY. I definitely would be as shocked if the Russell Wilson-like performance some have claimed will happen to NY happens(even more than I was was RW, whom I joked would be back the moment NH was fired, and not at all being derogatory to NH....he, Marrone, and Blake "Bleeping" Bortles were 1 "inadvertantly" blown whistle from beating NE and going to the SB! The hateful on here must really hate thinking about that, other than the whistle saving them). That said.... it doesn't necessarily make them better than the Bills. This wasn't a season for needing blockbuster moves, but Beane still made a number. If Ford plays up to initial expectation(saw he was listed as 3rd on depth chart, so I'm tempering my excitement a tad), as does Floyd and the returning DL, it should be a boost from last season. HCSM calling the plays has proven to be a boost when he did so in the past. Add that to all of the Bills injuries last season(All-Pro Micah Hyde, and another All-Pro in Tre'Davious White Sr off the top of my head and however many others who injured and are not now), and I think that alone is enough to say that this is not "the same as last season + Aaron Rodgers". While I am not claiming certainty the Bills will win, I am denouncing any certainty stated from anything close to the false narrative in my previous sentence. While the Bills revamped OL would benefit from time to gel, and while Rodgers is used to NH, most of the Bills offense has a season their their OC and numerous together, which this early I think gives them an edge. Maybe if HCSM sees Sauce is being allowed to put 2 hands on a guy like he did during Josh's epic Bomb, the handsy Elam gets more reps and is told to do the same? TL;DR I'm not certain about much in this one, other than it seems unwise to be certain about too much, especially if betting. I am certain I'm glad I have not seen that ridiculous "run it back" like that was popular for awhile that in the past would have been called "*a*". miamibillsnut
No clue what to expect. Jets are likely missing 2 tackles which should be great for a team that has signed 42 defensive linemen in the last 5 years but we saw what that got us in our last game. I hope we don't have two consecutive games where a banged up offensive line dominates us. Usually I think we're going to out gun and outscore our opponent but since the Jets defense has our number the way we win this game is by putting pressure on Rogers and ruining his debut that way. If the Bills win its a 16-13 type ugly game. If they lose it's going to be ugly and get ready to hear the New York Jets super bowl hype train.
