He was not a liability, just not a top DE. You are not going to hit on every pick. I think Basham was traded because we upgraded the position via FA. Every team misses on drafting players. Ideally you want to hit on your top 2 draft picks to be starters, stars with the first. Picks 3 and 4 are 50% starter or depth. 5 and 6 are depth players and 7 is lucky to make the roster. The better your team, the harder it is to find starters!
