thinwhiteduke
4th qtr comebacks lifetime. Matthew Stafford 34, Brett Favre 28, Rodgers 21. When he's behind, he stays behind. Sure, sure, he has lots of wins because the team stayed ahead. But except for the one super bowl run, he's not THAT good

Tanqueray Ten
How soon we forget... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/gametracker/recap/NFL_20221030_GB@BUF/ Derek Carr #13 on that list is hilarious. What self-respecting NFL quarterback would even want to be on that list???

Albany,n.y.
A more important stat would be how many times the team had the lead going into the 4th quarter and won the game. I know we all love the comeback game but I've always maintained that if Jim Kelly started the game the Bills would have never needed the greatest comeback. I wonder how many times it was Derek Carr's fault he was behind to begin with.

I wonder how many times it was Derek Carr's fault he was behind to begin with. Maybe. I don't know though. Luv Ya Blue was just pasting Kelly and co in the dome. I think we were so fortunate that in the early 90s the Oilers just could not keep a multiple possession lead in the post season to save their jobs. It wasn't just the road at Mile High or at Rich, they went up by 10 against Kansas City in the Astrodome and even with that Buddy Ryan Defense they just could not keep a lead. Most of that is because like our offense today, their run and shoot lacked a meaningful groundgame so when Moon started misfiring -something he did quite a bit- there was no run game to bail him out. It wasn't talent that killed that team, it was coaching. Talent wise, I think their 91 squad could have given the Redskins a fight to the finish in the Superbowl. Hell, they took that team to overtime at RFK. Coaching though, coaching sank that team year in and year out. Its why I compare McDermott to Jack Pardee. Pardee could take talent to the dance only to go 1-1 or 1 and done every single time.

But I'm starting to pay attention to the parallels. Brock Lesnar lost some multi wrestler cage match or something ,early in match. Either the day before or a few days before Brock Purdy got injured in conference championship

It was Brady, Gronk, and for whatever seeming washed up running back Bellicheat breathed new life into. It was also a pretty good defense most years. Chiefs? Lets see what happens if you take away Kelce and that O line.
Tanqueray Ten
OK - should have posted this earlier dammit. 1) I don’t see 17,18,19,20 on that list. I understand the screen shot thing. Totally. 2) Brady - longevity in the league. Nothing else other than that damn super bowel against Atlanta. 3) Where is Joe Montana? 4) Please correct me if I’m off my ass and missed something…

I was only looking to bring attention to the guys I dotted as compare contrast. So probably a few in middle missing
SackMan518
Wow, Jim Kelly has as many comebacks as Rodgers but Kelly only did 10 seasons against Rodgers who played for almost 18 seasons this year. Rodgers only has one Lombardi and he'll wind up on the Jets just like Favre... a big fat nothing. 1 Quote Sack "The Buffalo Range's TRUSTED News Source!" “When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” ~ Dresden James Twitter: Zack518Mann
