Biden Admin Preparing To Bring Back Full Covid Restrictions? Here’s Everything We Know About The 'Eris' Variant

A new COVID variant is spreading, and it's stirring fears that major restrictions could be put back in place.

Knewz.com has learned that the EG.5 coronavirus variant is causing a moderate rise in cases and deaths in places like the United Kingdom and the United States.

According to the Washington Post, EG.5 is a subvariant and descendant of omicron, which has remained the most prevalent strain of COVID in the world.

Infowars.com — owned and run by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones — is claiming that the rise in the EG.5 variant will lead to major COVID lockdowns in mid-September.

Citing anonymous sources, Infowars.com reports that a meeting took place last week in which TSA managers were told of new memorandums policies that were to be implemented as early as mid-September that would include masking for TSA and airport employees.

The outlet reports that this week TSA team members will receive new guidelines on how the restrictions will evolve. Infowars reports that by mid-October pilots, flight staff, passengers and airport patrons will be required to wear masks.

The vaccine is an "updated booster" designed to target not only the original COVID-19 strain, but also omicron BA.4 and BA.5, which had surged in the U.S. in 2022. By: MEGA

According to the outlet, TSA managers were told that it was not a matter of "if" but "when" COVID number would rise, and the Biden Administration would roll out major COVID restrictions.

The Washington Post reports that more than 1 million COVID-19 cases and over 3,100 deaths have been reported in the 28 days leading up to August 3, according to figures from the World Health Organization.

According to WHO figures, more than 7 million people have died since the pandemic began in 2020.

Despite the Infowars.com report, government officials have not indicated a major rise in COVID cases — and deaths — are on the horizon.

“At this time, there is no evidence indicating EG.5 is able to spread more easily, and currently available treatments and vaccines are expected to continue to be effective against this variant,” Kathleen Conley, a CDC spokeswoman, said in an email to the Washington Post.

The WHO has noted that the EG.5 variant poses a low risk to public health in comparison to other omicron descendants.

The World Health Organization declared on May 5 that COVID-19 is no longer a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).

The WHO has stated that the symptoms of the EG.5 variant are similar to those of previous omicron variants and are not more severe.

According to Techarp.com, Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax are set to roll out new COVID-19 vaccines in late September.

And just for extra credit

Knewz - Right Center Bias - Conservative - Republican - CredibleFactual Reporting: Mostly Factual - Mostly Credible and Reliable

In review, Knewz utilizes a combination of human curation and artificial intelligence to present news from 400 different sources. The sources used vary, ranging from right to left and between. Aggregated news stories are broken down by topic, and the reader is presented with multiple sources covering the same stories. For example, under the heading “California Lockdowns,” they present news articles from many different media outlets such as local media, The San Diego Union-Tribune, and Los Angeles Times as well national outlets such as Fox NewsThe Hill, and Reuters. However, under this heading, they also link to OANN, a questionable source that frequently fails fact checks and holds a far-right bias Riverside County sheriff refuses to implement Calif. Gov. Newsom’s lockdown orders. In reviewing numerous topic headings, we found that Murdoch-owned sources tended to be placed at the top more often, particularly Fox News.

Knewz also publishes its own news articles in mostly a summary format, citing other sources. We found that many of these stories favor the right such as this AOC slammed for selling $58 ‘Tax the Rich’ sweatshirts… which is why we’re giving them away for free (sort of). The primary source used for this story is the right biased and factually mixed Washington Free Beacon. However, it is important to mention that they also provide links to other sources that covered the same story, such as Newsweek and the Questionable Newsmax. Finally, the website also features a poll that is written in a biased way Do you think media bias against Trump could affect the election? This poll indicates a strongly right-leaning readership, with 87% responding “yes.” In general, Knewz provides a reasonable balance in source selection; however, right-leaning sources are used more often and hold higher positions. Editorially, they moderately favor the right and Murdoch-owned news sources.

Failed Fact Checks

  • None in the Last 5 years; however, some of the sources used have poor track records with fact-checkers. Although these sources have failed fact checks, Knewz only publishes articles that have other varied sources backing the story; therefore, we could not find any false claims.

Overall, we rate Knewz Right-Center Biased based on source selection and editorial positions that moderately favor the right. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting due to the occasional use of poor sources that have the potential to fail fact checks.

Sorry, I'm confused

Are you sharing Alex Jones to make fun of him or agree with him?

I posted this as satire. Sorry that wasn't obvious

Let's see how many fall for this AGAIN.

btw I've been monitoring the side effects forums. Boosters pose similar dangers to the original shots. If you want to roll that roulette wheel again and hope you don't end up with a brand spankin' new cardiologist or oncologist.

Wonder if Damar, Kim and John Murphy will be getting a booster this fall...

So you think they won't bring back the vaccines and masks for a second round?

Vaccines, yes but masks are way too unpopular. People will just refuse to wear them

I just want you on the record for the log regardless if it came from Alex Jones or not because I'm hearing a lot more grumbling about this that aren't him.

Are you prepared for the WHO, US Government, and any other health government to try again for the COVIDhysteria? Give us your prediction.
