This is what you guys are losing your minds over.

There are 73 million kids in the United States, and based on these numbers I'd say probably less than 5,000 of them are on puberty blockers right now.

For fuck's sake, get real problems and leave LGBTQ families alone.

Your reasoning is jaded. You’re literally saying who cares what happens to those 5000 kids.

No, that isn't what I'm saying, because you have no evidence that this is harming them in any way.

Study: Effects of puberty-blockers can last a lifetime

Possible side effects of GnRH analogue treatment include:

  • Swelling at the site of the shot.
  • Weight gain.
  • Hot flashes.
  • Headaches.
  • Mood changes.

Use of GnRH analogues also might have long-term effects on:

  • Growth spurts.
  • Bone growth.
  • Bone density.
  • Fertility, depending on when the medicine is started.

Pubertal Suppression for Transgender Youth and Risk of Suicidal Ideation

Are you seriously suggesting that "we shouldn't let kids take Lupron, there might be swelling at the injection site" is a rational position and not just motivated anti-scientific reasoning?

Much more serious than you are cherry, picking the most innocent of the bullet points and trying to use that as your stake in the ground

There aren't many other bullet points to pick from.  All of the standard side effects are...well, standard side effects.  Including them in your post at all is evidence that you're letting your intense bias get in the way of making rational edits to your argument.

As for the others, there isn't much validity to those either.

The effects on bone growth and bone density have been studied to death and they actually reverse once you stop puberty blockers and proceed with either natural puberty or cross-sex-hormone puberty.

Effects on fertility are well known and made clear to patients from the jump.  It's not uncommon for trans kids to cease blockers for a period of time in order to freeze eggs, bank sperm, or compel genital tissue growth for future surgery.

And that just leaves growth spurts, which I think if you ask most trans people they'd say being a little shorter is a fair trade-off for getting to live as their authentic selves.  For some trans girls/women, it may even be seen as a feature rather than a bug.

I'm so glad you included that top panel.  It's what I've been saying you guys want to do all along.  Ban books and school lessons that try to teach kids about CSA because doing so provably, objectively, reduces CSA.

The book those pages are from treats what is happening to the child as a bad thing that shouldn't happen.  It's not being celebrated.  Banning that book harms kids.

Someone should have taught her about makeup and how to wear it correctly

If she had a rough childhood like she claims, I feel for her and hope the gets help. She does not have the right to project her issues to other children however.

She has issues and should not be around children. Just like ICR.
