But not for this do far

So you're giving up all the sports and leaving the message board since there's no point anymore right? That sucks man but he'll miss you.

Where did you get that?

Why would I? I've known for close to a decade now that it's not on the up and up.

I've said it time and again. I  Iike sports. I like it's aesthetics and history.

I like baseball cards and collectibles stuff. It's a male bonding tool. Helmet and uniform design/s history.

The difference now is I'm not a child who gets emotionally involved.

I never even liked pro wrestling, but I now have a appreciation of it lol. I don't pay attention to it really. But  I can relate.

And you say that to me even though my knowledge has taught me what to expect from this team. I've told you the last two years Bills would lose in playoffs and they did.

I said Mahomes injury was fake or not THAT bad. And I said they wouldn't lose SB.

I did get Niners wrong though.

No, that does not in any way suggest I'm not interested in sports. As I described in the rest of the post.

There's plenty of gamblers who understand it's fixed.

A Jets fan sued the NFL because of the  whole Patriots film practice scandale.

He lost. The courts said the ticket doesn't entitle you to a fair contest. Just a seat at the game. Entertainment.

The Fix Is In is a good book.

I still haven't gotten it. I've just followed him for a few years.

I found him during /after I had already decided this is all malarkey.

I thought to my self...could the Lakers go to 15 finals in 30 years..could the bills lose 4 in a row... And something else I can't remember....could all this happen naturally without outside influence? Of course not.

Then I rewatched Tebow's Denver games when he  miraculously helped them make playoffs without throwing any passes lol, or very few.

If you look at the film. It's so obvious guys are faking missing tackling him.

The Chicago game. Bears run out of bounds or fumble the ball to keep Denver in it. And playoffs game vs Pittsburgh.

But here's the thing, why allow Tebow to be a hero, only to vilify him in the end? Makes no sense. I think Tebow was a great story.

Tebow came into the league with the reputation of being a great athlete and leader, but not necessarily a great QB (passer). Josh Allen, the same thing. Buffalo worked really hard (supposedly) with Allen, while Denver threw Tebow to the wolves. Why? Way to many narratives (soap opera's) for something that's supposed to be a game.

IMO, there is a lot more going on beneath the surface than we can see, and not just pro sports.

Also, do all the players know it's all BS, or just a select few? We could probably analyze every playoff game for the last 10 years and find discrepancies. New Orleans vs Minnesota, intentionally missed tackle to allow Diggs to score the winning TD. Or Atlanta vs N England in the super bowl, Where the Falcons are in field goal range to make it a 2 score game, and Shanahan calls a pass play and a sack (shocker) ... GOAT Brady miraculously brings the Patriots back, and Shanahan is the next head coach in San Fran. All these narratives. I think the Ramones said it best, but I came across this while looking for the Ramones ... And I think it's pretty cool

To mock us. Distraction.

They do this most of the time anyway. One guy has great season the. Just drops of entirely.

They do.it to every star . Bret favre, dick pick. Manning t bag in college.

Mahomes brother etc.. same script, slight variations.

I doubt Lawrence Taylor did come in game or a under age prostitute. It's all just a humiliation ritual for the contract  they signed

I don't understand the humiliation part, but I bet it has a huge meaning as far as they're concerned.

Ya know what i never get tired of? Seeing a famous actor, musician or athlete wearing a dress. it never gets old ... always fresh

Okay, I'm a baddie, I am Russophile and love most things USSR including their sport achievements.  USSR 1972 men's basketball was solid.  It did what very few other olympic national teams were able to do. It went the distance against team USA.  It was good enough to win gold.   Only Team USSR 1988, and Argentina 2004 were on that level.  USA basketball has always been to the Summer olympics what Soviet Hockey was to the winter olympics until the fall of the Soviet state, and that is pure and utter domination.  However. . . .

Refball SCREWED Team USA hard, and yes the Soviet sports officials were largely behind that.  Frankly, I would have scrubbed that match, and using officials from non aligned nations -keeping sport officials from either of the superpowers out of the arena - had that game replayed.  It was two teams at their peak and one of the greatest games of all time, so much so that Russia has a film called going Vertical that honors that team.  However, yes that game was the ultimate example of ref ball.  Team USA got cheated and I completely understand their refusal to accept a medal.

Pretty sure that the entire game can be found on youtube. Love the fact that those medals are sitting in some vault somewhere. Players should accept them, and immediately auction them off. Keep the money, or donate it. That would be cool.

As i said earlier, more goes into this stuff than just sports.

Oh it is, I was -11 years old in 1972.  I saw the game in its entirety on ESPN classic sports (that used to be such a great network) in the early 2000s.  Yeah, just an absolutely great game.

Enjoy:

It's never going to happen, but politics needs to stay out of the Olympics. Players were/are pawns. If I were an athlete that won gold, last place I'd want to go is the White House

I miss Amateur athletes playing against the Russians. Not going to win that often, but when you do ...

Outside sources probably thought the cold war was becoming a little to warm for their liking ... and BOOM!

I remember when basketball used to be fun to watch. And then I watched the refs (the league) steal a series away from Sacramento, so that the Lakers, with Shaq and Kobie would be in the finals, and haven't watched basketball since. It is nice when the players talk about the dirty dealings of pro sports. I remember Arian Foster saying the same thing about football.

The NBA fix is true and proven especially back when those refs got caught...vagely recall that one....But i do remember that Arian Foster podcast...That was such BS and over the top..I think most of it was purposely done on that one but it doesnt mean the NFL is innocent at all....Too many coverups etc especially with Goodell and the way he uses the broom to sweep sweep it all away....

True, there is a lot of disinformation out there.

Honestly, I don't need Arian Foster to tell me that the NFL is not quite on the up and up, I can see it for myself. For me, it's not just the refs, but also situational play call's by the coaches that give the opposition one more chance. How many blowouts will there be this season, as opposed to one score games, or overtime? Expect McDermott to call a few time-outs this season, late in a game, up by a score, when the opposition doesn't have any time outs left. I'm waiting for someone to question him on that in a post game, so that he can say "that's something I'm going to have to learn from"

They aren't even hiding it anymore. And they're probably shocked and amazed by the number of fans who are buying it.
