Basically he’s not improving but regressing which is a big problem for a first rounder. Not to mention they just signed that kid from Minnesota today who is a CB and started 10-11 games last year. Benford wanst converted to safety. Wonder when it’s official and we start hearing the word bust on Elam? And remember last summer word in camp was Elam looked awful. If Christian Benford beats him out over the course of training camp and preseason, then let the best man start - no matter what their draft position. It doesn't matter if your 1st round pick starts and your 6th round pick is backup, or vice versa. You drafted two CBs, and one will start, and one will be backup. Cornerback was a huge need with Tre White out indefinitely and the Bills choosing to let Levi Wallace walk in Free Agency. PS There is still a chance Elam becomes a quality starting CB in the NFL. It is year 3 we expect to see him challenging Tre White for CB1 position.
