My thoughts exactly. Cowherd announcing the Leonard Floyd pick and then proceeds to laugh at the Bills for spending way too much on defense…again. Beautifully stated imo…

I know a bunch of you won’t even bother to watch because how dare anyone criticize the Bills. But this is what he brought up…

-this money should have spent on the offense, esp for D Hop so Diggs doesn’t continually get doubled

-rookie Tight ends dont make big enough impacts 

-proceeds to say defensive coaches have horrible track records when it comes to offensive lines

-the Bills are among the top spending teams…on defense…and those teams have a combined 6-12 record in the playoffs the last couple years. 
 

-proceeds to say how the Bills expensive defense gets pummeled in the playoffs 

-his little assistant guy laughs and says “yeah they can’t stop a nose bleed”…he also said the “Bills leading receiver in the Cincy playoff game was some guy name Shaker” 🤣

-Cowherd replies with “yeah double Diggs and rush Allen and it’s over” 

-says teams with offensive coaches will always be considered favorites 

-says the offensive coach in the division has made Tua look good

Cowherd's ultimately right, but there are two factors at play:

1. We are cap-strapped, and Floyd's contract is less than half if what Hopkins probably wants.

2. Offensive lineman are always in high demand, so it's not like there are available starters out there in June, like with some other positions.

The Bills added 2 OL, 3 WR and a TE on offense that will all play so this narrative that they didn't invest in the offense is incorrect. It's click bait.

Cowherd is whatever - I have no feelings about ihm either way. 

But to post a 6 minute video ranting about how the Bills offense line is a mess and citing evidence that they signed 3 defense players as an argument for his point is complete garbage. When you fail to mention the other side of the coin in that they have signed 3 OL players, including Connor McGovern. 

Even if ultimately his argument that a Defensive minded head coach can't build an o-line, you should still give accurate, fair facts to your arguments, or your credibility is gone. You become a charlatan of sorts.

The Bills have signed a shit ton of linemen since McDemrott has been here. I’m not, nor is Cowherd, saying they are NOT, what I’m saying is they haven’t done a good job. So the question is why cant they figure it out? They seem to know how to build a back 7 and secondary. Gee…I wonder why? Oh maybe because McDermott was a defensive back.

Of course not this season but we had the #2 offense last year so scoring is not an issue. You better hope they improve after having the offseason of Sean or I will be raining down on you an ungodly shitstorm on how wrong you were.

 

Also, Harty McGovern and are Sherfield not journeymen. They have only been on one team. Shorter and O'Torrence are draft picks which you have been complaining the Bills should draft.

I think McBeane thinks we will have a better O-line starting this year. 

They brought in OLmen in both FA and the draft.

It may come down to the OC now.

They tried their best to shore up an AWFUL G situation.

They brought in 2 WR's with good hands in UFA.

They drafted a TE in the first round, granted rookie TE's usually don't make a big impact. 

They have faith that Shakir can develop into a good WR.

They are counting on Gabe Davis bouncing back (I really don't know if this will work out or not)

They brought in Harris as that bruising RB that they so DESPERATELY need.

So, I wouldn't say that McBeane ignored the offense. They just didn't make a HUGE splash. 

We will see how it works out.

Uhh, going to disagree....and Cowherd is not exactly the smartest guy in the room...even when he is only one in the room.   Floyd was an excellent signing on the cheap.  Let's see what did the Bills do this off season:  They got two Guards in FA, both should be upgrades over Saffold.   The signed two WR's in FA one from Miami and one from NO.  The WR from Miami is reported to be a solid #2 WR...but was displaced to #3 due to Hill and Waddle.  NO WR is a burner with great hands...

Draft:  He essentially got two first round picks on the offense:  Kincaid will have an impact year 1 simply because he is a "I catch everything thrown my way guy", is a fluid route runner and is a mismatch for almost any defense.   Torrence will unseat Bates and should dominate the line for RB to run behind

More FA....Signed Damien Harriss and the thumper from Arizona at RB.

Drafter Shorter who could develop into another Metcalf type WR.

Attracted several Undrafted WR Sharper who could be good as well

So good grief Sean there are 11 Offensive players on the field....just Kincaid and Torrence starting will be a 20% upgrade to the offense.  If McGovern starts that is close to 30% upgrade (figure Allen is not going to be upgraded period and either is Diggs).  So 30% of your starting Offense has upgraded.  McGovern >> Saffold, Torrence >Bates and Kincaid >= Knox.   Bills were pretty much 60/40 O to D this offseason.
