Popular Post JS12
I like what Beane has done, but I’m not so sure this was the right move. The guy was a top 10 pick. He should be an absolute beast, and he’s not. 2
Herodotus
Well call me inspired. I am going to do nothing at work for the next few months and maybe I'll receive a contract extension. Seriously, at best this frees up some cap space but this is a sucker signing if there ever was one
jpp
The guy was a sack of last season....ok i will bite...maybe he might be inspired now with McDuffus calling the plays?? We shall see...but it was hilarious earlier with the defensive line coach pretty much calling him Dead from the neck up...lol...
Sucked In Again
Hmm, Von Miller 6 years 120mil, Ed Oliver 4 year 68 mil. Not sure which is worse. No wonder the average fan is being priced out.
Baldat28
He was okay last season, he was the only one that showed up in a few games, his problem is he's not consistent in doing so. He'll be in on almost every play one game, then doesn't show up for the next 3-4 games. I wouldn't have given him that much, I wonder if the money for this year is included in that, then it wouldn't be so bad, but he definitely needs to step up his game

mixum
Only if we get Hopkins. Otherwise it’s worse then Von Miller signing. 1 Quote "Buffalo is hard to play but not hard to beat"

Von Miller was a risky signing due to his age and injury history. So far it looks like a bad gamble to acquire him for his on-field leadership. Oliver is very young and still has tremendous upside. What is the point of drafting players high up and then simply let them walk when their rookie contract is up? Edmunds was a very flawed player so we correctly let him walk. Oliver simply has NOT figured it out yet. In college, Oliver was a very disruptive force inside. Whether his smallish size translates to the NFL remains still uncertain. 1 Quote Do Your Part to Improve The Range -- Please put the TRIO OF TRUMP FLUFFERSTM on IGNORE

mixum
Ed Oliver. Year 5. He could. Tremendous upside. Being pushed around by Bengals backups in a home playoff game!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha good lord. 1 Quote "Buffalo is hard to play but not hard to beat"

They drafted a "move" TE with their first draft pick. What the fuck are you whining about? When our OL gets their collective stools pushed in such that 25% of our hand-offs end up with our RB being tackled behind the line of scrimmage, then I will whine with you. SackMan518
He's a B+ DT guy who will ever aspire to the Pro Bowl tier and he is what he is - that's it. This is the best that Oliver will get for money. He should be very happy about this but not so much for the team. Beane? A little over paid for this one. 1 Quote Sack "The Buffalo Range's TRUSTED News Source!" “When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” ~ Dresden James Twitter: Zack518Mann
daryls61
15th highest paid DT is fine I guess. Not a lot of splash plays though. I am actually surprised he signed for that little. JS12
The problem here as I see it is that Beane is gambling on the fact that he gets better. It could happen. I hope we all come back here in 2 or 3 years and Oliver turns out to be a stud and we were all wrong. But he’s already had 5 years to beast out, and he hasn’t. So this is a tough one to gamble on in my opinion. It’s like betting on a stock to go up that has been mediocre for its entire existence. You can win, but there is a lot of risk involved. Wouldn’t you rather bet on the stock that has been performing well?

Maybe he thinks that he can get more out of him than we’ve seen 1 Quote “There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind, never even considered for mass production.
