Debt collectors...

Recommended Posts

I got a phone call last week from an outfit called TSICO, an Indian debt collection agency, who claimed they had parking tickets for me from 2000 and I owe them 500 bucks.

I told them without giving anything up that I'd look into it.

I have absolutely NO RECOLLECTION of any of this blast from the past.

As far as I know they can't do anything but harass me for these supposed 23 year old infractions.

Any advice?

Yes, hope RevCan NEVER catches up with you.

They are unlikely to sue.

If they are City parking tickets, they would have gotten you by now.

How can they ask for money without providing any documentation?

They probably bought a whole whack of old documentation and are calling every name they found within and claiming they owe them money.

If they keep harassing me can I tell them to send documentation to my lawyer, aka you?

Check the BB and report them to it.

Buffalo is like ground zero for debt collection agencies, and they are constantly being brought up on various fraud charges.

They are scammers.  Be careful, don't give them one bit of information or personal info, and if you want fuck with them and have fun doing so because they prey on so many people and so scam baiting can be lots of fun.  Look up scam baiters and scam calls on youtube.  You might have yourself a new hobby.

Tell them to fuck off. 23 years old parking tickets? What do they want for now - Target Gift Card payments?
