We're sorry that we have to do this, as we regard it our express mission to catalog and preserve the documented record of every President's official actions and services to our country, but courts of law at this time require us to provide special investigative counsel with several documents indicating that you knew damn good & well better than to fail both to return confidential records to secure storage and to forward official documentation to our representatives during your horrendous term in office.

Atty resigns. Timothy Parlatore, atty who played key role in docs probe is leaving the former president's legal team. Had been rumored for weeks and comes as special counsel Jack Smith appears headed for homestretch in investigating possible mishandling of secret docs as well as efforts to subvert the 2020 election.

"It's been an incredible honor to serve and work through interesting (to say the least) legal issues. My departure is a personal choice and does not reflect upon the case, as I believe strongly [DOJ] is engaging in misconduct to pursue an investigation of conduct that is not criminal (IOW, witch hunt).

Exit is notable as Parlatore had headed up organized searches for docs last year at Trump Tower, Bedminster, Mar-a-Lardo, Palm Beach and a storage locker in Fla. He also testified before grand jury for 7 hours in a dispute in which DOJ sought unsuccessfully to hold the Donald in contempt for failing to hand everything over after receiving subpoena in 2022. He said they repeatedly tried to ask him about his conversations with Trump but that it was "outside the scope" of what he was there for.

He recently co-authored a letter to House intel chair requesting Congress tell DOJ to stand down because they believe it should instead be the intel community conducting any investigating into classified docs.

Trump's legal team has descended into infighting over several months as it has dealt with multiple investigations coming at it amid launch of a 3rd run for office. Trump has privately taken umbrage at his big legal bills and as to why all the investigations still haven't gone away.

In the CNN town hall, he misrepresented the Presidential Records Act and asserted that he was "allowed" to have the docs when he left. "We had the boxes lined up on the sidewalk outside for everybody. People are taking pictures of them (good thing?) Everybody knew we were taking those boxes."

Asked whether he had ever shown classified docs to anyone post-presidency, he said, "Not really...Not - not that I can think of."

Was this Trump trying to keep from outright lying?? Why wouldn't he just answer that with a "'no," as he's already asserted that he had previously declassified everything he took with his mind.
