I hear you with that. The issue regarding crime is that it's not a republican v democrat issue. It's a problem across the country and we need to address it as a country and stop blaming either party.

And, imho, the only way to address crime is to start fixing the the inequalities that exist in our economic system that allows the vast majority of wealth to accrue to the wealthiest, while hundreds of thousands live on the streets, millions don't have enough to eat, children going to bed hungry.

When your first post says the MAGA narrative is another lie it sure comes off sounding a lot more like a finger-pointing call out post than it does a let's all hug and play nice post though. Then the article itself points to several cities that are Dem controlled that also have higher rates than NYC. But no mention of that. Just a headline equating Jacksonville with all republican cities and a name-calling first post. How did I ever miss the idea this was all about finding a solution by working together.

I rarely post but I am on here a lot. I somehow find all the name calling and vitriol that explodes within 5 posts of every subject rather hard to look away from. Like something that's just so hideous you can't stop looking, LOL.

And one thing I've noticed is there seems to be no in between. It seems anyone who tries to defend ANYthing Trump did, or has a conservative point of view is automatically labelled a MAGA extremist. And I suppose the opposite is true too. Of course, since it's usually the same 10 people posting I suppose it's only natural for the insults to start flying early because everybody knows that's where it's going to wind up anyway.
