SpikedLemonade
Wagner is currently 32 years old. He played at Pro Bowl level in his one year in LA after an elite career at Seattle. Even at $10M/yr for 3 years with most guaranteed, the Bills are a much better team with Bobby Wagner at MLB than a $18M/yr physical specimen with no football instinct whatsoever. Bobby Wagner negotiates his own contracts. He would be an outstanding leader of our D. 1 Quote Do Your Part to Improve The Range -- Please put the TRIO OF TRUMP FLUFFERSTM on IGNORE

He walked away from millions in LA however he wants to win and is looking to choose the team he believes gives him the best opportunity at another Super Bowl ring. If Bobby Wagner chooses the Bills, that is a very good sign. Crazy Legs
Bobby Wagner most likely has been asking more than teams have been willing to pay. There are several teams that need what Bobby has to offer. He probably has quite a bit of interest. Comes down to Guaranteed money and the Avg Annual Value of the Contract. Beane has a plan. Wagner might be too expensive, for now. Crazy Legs
WHY HAS BEANE NOT SIGNED BOBBY WAGNER YET? Because Beane is very, very tight on Cap Space. Not only this year, but the next two years. He kicked the can down the road by doing all those restructures, and Beane doesn't want to have to cut Matt Milano and Tre White next year to get under the Cap. 2024 CAP Hits Josh=$47,056,281 Diggs=$27,854,000 Von Miller=$23,874,000 Tre White=$16,634,916 Dion Dawkins=$15,314,000 Dawson Knox=$14,400,000 Matt Milano=$12,737,000 Taron Johnson=$10,179,333 Beane can't cut any of the above - their Dead Cap would be worse. And he has restructured everyone of them, at least once. Friggin' Von Miller's contract has him locked into us for 3 more years. 3 more years. Yikes. Look for Beane, if he signs any FAs this week, to sign guys willing to work for the Veteran Minimum. Typically those contracts do not count against the Cap #s. For example, I could see targeting a RT that will work cheap. Maybe cheaper than David Quessenberry, believe it or not. Billy Turner, Mike Remmers, Brandon Shell....or David Quessenberry? The Buffalo Bills starting linebacker right now is Tyrel Dodson. Because he fits the Cap.

Not sure he can sign anymore FAs (except really cheap ones). Brandon might be done unless he picks up some road kill on his way to the draft. Crazy Legs
1 hour ago, bv said: This roster has fatal flaws All teams do that have very little Cap to spend. The best way to improve your roster is to draft really well. And don't trade away your picks. Most importantly you can't have your 2nd round picks turn out to be AJ Epenesa, Boogie Bashum, Cody Ford and Zay Jones. You need 2nd round picks that make a difference. And are on the field for most of the snaps. They cheap 4 year contracts are important to manage your Cap. Beane needs, needs to hit on the 1st and 2nd round picks. Even if they are not Pro Bowlers as rookies. By year 2 they need to be full-time starters so you have fewer holes.
bv
A lot of great GMs find undrafted players that turn out to be great. Bean cant even hit on his own draft picks except for a few. Like Allen. We make stupid and wasteful draft picks like Bashham and the punt god and don't even hold on to them anyway. Jake Fromm? The other thing that pisses me off is the Bills are a cold weather team built for a dome. Makes no sense to me. The offense is a one man team. Now we are signing 5'6 receivers with 13 fumbles. What a tough team!
bv
Also giving away Teller and drafting Ford. Bean isn't as great as he thinks he is. Maybe Von Miller can help him do his job
