Jimmy Garoppolo, Raiders

Why? The only advantage he has over Carr is that he's better looking. His play won't be upgraded any and the guy gets hurt a lot... plus, they're paying him more!

Well, traditionally, except for Rams, Bucs. The SB host team tanks, like Cards last year.

This is what getting hurt every year gets you. If Garappolo had been able to stay healthy for a full season, he would have played himself out of the league by now. Or he'd be signing much smaller contracts to be a backup. IMO, Raider fans will miss Carr.

What you forget is the year he was healthy all year, Niners went to SB

Or the fact he's willing to fake injury in the entertainment league. Like a good little soldier

That's a good point ... never know

NFL owners have money. TV contracts net billions, which is why mediocre QB's can make millions. And from what I've seen, owners don't give a rats ass about making it to the SB since they all split the mega millions in profits. Nothing is left to chance.

No single player is ever the reason. Doesn't matter really.

He's just a fascinating thing in the league to me.

Ahh, but the league makes you think they are the sole reason. Gotta have that franchise QB. When we both know that if this league were on the up and up, you would have to have balance. Good to great running game, passing game and a good QB to manage it all. When they started giving QB's wins, and losses is when this league started going down hill in my eyes. Before sports entertainment, it took a team. Doesn't mean it wasn't always shady, just not like it is now.
