Just now, Angry Byrds said:

Ok  Is it 32 mil in space or is it 15 million or whatever after they knocked off what we were over?

If they were $15 mil under, they are now $17 million to the good.

They should have around $20 open after all the moves from yesterday and today. Now they just need White and Dawkins to do the right thing. Especially White.

How magical they are with numbers. And you thought they were screwed.

The Bills are about $16-$17 million to the good right now.  But, they have tossed a lot of their available wood on the fire.
The re-did the contracts for Tim Settle, Nyheim Hines, Matt Milano, Josh Allen and Von Miller already.

If the Bills were to sign a $15 million wide receiver tomorrow, they would then have to find more Cap to operate.  And do it from the few remaining players contracts that can save them any money.    It is the land of diminishing returns now.   Maybe re-do Tre White.

NFL network is saying we're just under 9 million under the cap right now after the restructers and signings. We still have to sign draft picks. We'll have to eat a season or 2 down the road when these restructures come due. Seems  a little pointless when we're not even going to win the east, let alone a Super Bowl this year.

The Cap is real.

It partly was installed because owners didn't want to have to out spend other owners and end up having $400 million dollar payrolls.

And the other role of the Cap is to force good teams (i.e. the Bills) that have a good QB they are paying and good LTs and good CBs and a Von Miller, to go without at other positions.  It creates parity.

The best teams are teams that keep their draft picks, draft well, so they have cheap labor and have a franchise QB.

We have to draft better and stop with the AJ Epenesa's and Boogie Bashum's and Terrell Bernards.   We need some studs via the draft.
