Should a 50-year-old trans person be legally able to marry a 15-year-old just because the parents say its okay and they have a waiver form a judge? Thats for the parents and the people involved to decide. Whats so hard about that to understand? Thats what TRUE liberalism in the classic sense is. What situation are we talking about where a 50 year old would need to marry a child to save the child's life? Can you go into more detail? 2 minutes ago, RichJ said: Do you or ICR know of any 16 yr. old marrying a 50 yr old? will groomers exploit loop holes to get to children? I'm not repeating myself for the stupid. I am against any law that does not require parental consent for minors especially the ones like puberty blockers. thinwhiteduke
Probably leaving out details of what it really means and why. A 19 year old could marry a 16/17 year old. That's not a problem age wise. The fact is no one complained 100 years ago if a 26 yr old married a 17 year old. It's govt and religion that somehow made it taboo. And the dumbing down of society. It was no big deal then because people were smarter then at a younger age. No one complained about a 16 or 17 year old getting pregnant. So you dont know of any then. Thought so. what if the 50 yr old had to marry the 15 yr old to save the childs who is an orphan and can only receive the transplant with the consent of the spouse ? LOL. Thats actually a very great reason to allow a marriage. But of course I'm just making up a story just like you both do. LOL.

Shouldn't we be encouraging that couple to wait until she's 18 before we let them GET FUCKING MARRIED? Why the rush to enter a lifetime commitment? Get to 18, if you're still a couple, then you can make a decision without the parents' involvement.
