Popular Post SpikedLemonade
1st Round Peter Skoronski G/OT, Northwestern Height: 6-4. Weight: 313. Arm: 32.25. Hand: 10. Official 40 Time: 5.16. 2nd Round Joe Tippman C, Wisconsin Height: 6-6. Weight: 317. Projected 40 Time: 5.20. 3rd Round Cody Mauch, G, North Dakota State Height: 6-5. Weight: 302. Arm: 32.38. Hand: 9.75. Official 40 Time: 5.08. Round Availability Source => https://walterfootball.com/draft2023_1.php I will soon provide later round picks however if we draft the 3 above interior OL many of our offensive short comings are resolved. We protect our 1/4 Billion Dollar QB with a nice neat pocket. We give said QB more time to find our WRs on deeper routes. We don't have to keep our TE back to pass block on the OL 75% of the time because we fear our opponent's pass rush. We have an OL that can get push and open rushing lanes for whoever we hand the ball off to. Third and short should be easy to get a first down behind this interior OL. Skoronski may involve a trade up and I would have NO problem packaging our 1st round pick with our 4th round pick if we have a good Free Agency period and found a WR, RB, MLB and S through that channel. I think bringing this Polak to Buffalo is worth the trade up. 4 Quote Do Your Part to Improve The Range -- Please put the TRIO OF TRUMP FLUFFERSTM on IGNORE
Crazy Joe Davola
Love the mock draft.. but it's going to take more than a 4th rounder to trade up to get skoronski... and mauch may not last until the 3rd round
Flan
love the focus. Love the intent. It won't happen, but we would be set for several years. 1 Quote “So shines a good deed in a weary world." ...Willy Wonka
f8ta1ity54
There is a solid chance that none of these guys are available at any of the bills picks unless they are willing to move up or down the draft board. I will release my mock once we are deep enough into free agency to have an idea for what the plan is at offensive line. The bills have plenty of options for starting caliber offensive linemen. (risner, davis, powers etc) I dont think it would be wise to use the top 3 picks on the offensive line. Dawkins starts at LT, Bates should start at LG, Morse starts at center, RG could be filled via free agency, RT could be a developmental prospect + vet to push brown. The rookie RT pushes Doyle for swing tackle next year or Brown for starter. Right now I would lean towards a free agent RG, and draft a C/G like Tippman to take over for Morse, and then add a mid round tackle with traits. But we'll see how FA'cy turns out first.

I agree that he may NOT be there in the 1st round for the Bills to be able to trade up. Mauch I have seen going in the 4th or 5th round but I am OK with taking him in the 2nd round. bcw
Nice to see o-line addressed but I want a wr mixed in there, even if we pick one up in FA. With only Diggs and Shakir signed after this year we are going to see a lot of change coming at the position, which should be a good thing if addressed correctly. My thinking with respect to WR, is that we really have to sign an experience WR in FA who can challenge for the #2 WR spot since we need to win now and NO WR drafted at the end of the 1st round or later is going to be able to just step right in. We do need a a guy who can give Gabe Davis a run for his money. I have NO problem drafting a WR in the 4th or 5th rounds who is NOT expected to start this year but possibly next year in 2024. I think they believe in Gabe more than most of us do, and I worry a starting wr to replace him is going to be out of our price range. A draft pick might not be able to win the starting wr job right away but they can be part of the rotation and eventually be a key part of the wr unit.

daryls61
Excellent mock Spiked. I will probably only have 2 OL in my mock though. I would like to see a WR in 1st or 2nd because Big Game Gabe us going to get at $16 mil a year in FA and I doubt Bills pay him that. 1 Quote The Things that unite us are far greater than the things that divide us. Crazy Legs
Peter Skoronski probably will be Top 15, definitely Top 20. He seems like a future Pro Bowler. If only we could get so lucky. One guy that was "projected" initially as late 2nd round was the kid from Syracuse Matthew Bergeron. Who played OT, but could play Guard. Slowly predications have changed and he moved up to a mid 2nd rounder. Then to a high 2nd rounder. If the Bills traded back from pick 27th, to the top of the 2nd, he would be a good possibility. He could be in line to start at RG, moving Bates to LG. But if Spencer Brown wets the bed again, Bergeron would be an option to play RT. That versatility for the Bills this year would be valuable.

What did you see in Bates play last season that made you reach the conclusion that Bates is a starting NFL OL? Crazy Legs
28 minutes ago, SpikedLemonade said: What did you see in Bates play last season that made you reach the conclusion that Bates is a starting NFL OL? We have to chose. We need a good quality Left Guard and a good quality Right Guard, and a better RT. We only have a handful of draft picks. We have only some IOUs to spend in Free Agency. McDermott doesn't like to start rookies. So, moving Bates to LG, drafting a RG, and signing a veteran RT is the most I see happening (even if I want more, I know I won't get it)
