SpikedLemonade
Hundreds of newspapers drop ‘Dilbert’ comic strip after racist tirade from creator Scott Adams Newspapers across the country dropped the “Dilbert” comic strip over the weekend after the creator of the satirical cartoon went on a racist tirade, calling Black Americans a “hate group” and suggesting that White people should “get the hell away” from them. The USA Today Network, which operates hundreds of newspapers, said it had pulled the plug on the long-running comic strip. The Washington Post and The Plain Dealer also in Cleveland said they would no longer carry the comic. The move came after Scott Adams, the cartoonist behind “Dilbert,” effectively encouraged segregation in a shocking rant on YouTube. His comments came in response to a poll from the conservative firm Rasmussen Reports that said 53% of Black Americans agreed with the statement, “It’s OK to be White.” The Anti-Defamation League has noted that the phrase emerged on the infamous message board 4chan in 2017 as a trolling campaign and has a “long history” in the white supremacist movement. “If nearly half of all Blacks are not OK with White people – according to this poll, not according to me, according to th is poll – that’s a hate group,” Adams said Wednesday on his YouTube show “Real Coffee with Scott Adams.” “I don’t want to have anything to do with them,” Adams added. “And I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people, just get the f**k away … because there is no fixing this.” Adams has since said on Twitter that he was only “advising people to avoid hate” and suggested that the cancellation of his cartoon signals that free speech in America is under assault. Andrews McMeel Syndication, the company that distributes “Dilbert,” did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment. The newspapers that have cut the comic strip have been clear with readers. “Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strip, went on a racist rant this week … and we will no longer carry his comic strip in The Plain Dealer,” wrote Chris Quinn, editor of the paper. “This is not a difficult decision.” “We are not a home for those who espouse racism,” Quinn added. “We certainly do not want to provide them with financial support.” Gannett, which publishes the USA Today Network of newspapers, tweeted that it aims to “lead with inclusion and strive to maintain a respectful and equitable environment for the diverse communities we serve nationwide.” The Washington Post said it had also pulled the comic strip from the newspaper. “In light of Scott Adams’s recent statements promoting segregation, The Washington Post has ceased publication of the Dilbert comic strip,” it said. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/25/business/dilbert-comic-strip-racist-tirade/index.html Quote Do Your Part to Improve The Range -- Please put the TRIO OF TRUMP FLUFFERSTM on IGNORE

SackMan518
His credibility got shot, ironically, over the "shot" but I can see where he's coming from. His point is that he's been an ally of African-Americans for many years but now, according to Rasmussen poll, half of them don't even think it's ok for him to be "white." In light of the crime statistics and lack of progress made by African-Americans even with being buoyed up by Affirmative Action/ESG/DEI he's throwing up his hands and giving up on trying to help. His delivery was probably not the greatest with his choice of words but I'd hardly call it some kind of David Duke style rant. As far as data goes it's hard to refute his argument. Of course, this will shock the Range Leftists and they'll claim racism but that's a cop out from looking at a larger issue why other minority groups are succeeding without fast pass access and they aren't. What is going on in their communities? It's way past blaming the average white lunchbucket Joe at this point since we're almost 60 years past the Civil Rights movement. 1 Quote Sack "The Buffalo Range's TRUSTED News Source!" “When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” ~ Dresden James Parler @NYexile

SackMan518
Leave it Elon to jump in and put it into a fresh perspective. He's right that everything nowadays just slams Whites and Asians. How about we just stay neutral and not be racist against anyone and just go by statistics which, when using raw data, have no biases? Pretty easy concept to understand. SackMan518
5 Steps to Fix the Black Community (Not According to Scott Adams) “Here’s number five: pull up your pants. Walking around with your a** and your underwear showing is not okay. In fact, it comes from prison when they take away belt from the prisoner so that they can’t make a weapon. And then it evolved into which role a prisoner would have during male-on-male prison sex. The one with the really low pants is a submissive one. You get my point.” “By promoting the use of that word when it’s not germane to the conversation, have you ever considered that you may just be perpetuating the stereotype the master intended acting like a n*****?” “Respect where you live. Start small by not dropping trash, littering in your own communities. I’ve lived in several predominantly white neighborhoods in my life. I rarely, if ever, witnessed people littering. I live in Harlem now, It’s an historically black neighbourhood. Every single day I see adults and children dropping their trash on the ground when a garbage can is just feet away. Just being honest here.” “Number two: Finish school. You want to break the cycle of poverty. Stop telling kids they’re acting white because they go to school or they speak proper English. A high school dropout makes on average $19,000 a year, A high school graduate makes $28,000 a year. A college graduate makes $51,000 a year over the course of a career. A college grad will make nearly a million dollars more than a high school graduate. That’s a lot of money.” "Probably the most important [thing black Americans can do to help]: just because you can have a baby it doesn’t mean you should—especially without planning for one or getting married first. More than 72 percent of children in the African American community are born out of wedlock, That means absent fathers and the studies show that lack of a male role model is an express train right to prison. And the cycle continues.” Don Lemon 1 Quote Sack "The Buffalo Range's TRUSTED News Source!" “When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” ~ Dresden James Parler @NYexile

Because you're white and any criticism, no matter how well meaning, of anyone who is a POC, even if mild, will be seen as a racist aggression and verbal abuse. It's not that way accidentally either. On the other side heaps of scorn will be dumped on you and you must take it with glee otherwise defending yourself is also seen as racist. It was a survey. They asked questions. One of the questions was not "is it okay to be white" but rather "is it okay to SAY 'it's okay to be white'". Do you know the history behind this phrase? https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/its-okay-be-white Do you think it's possible that the respondents who said no were familiar with this history, and that it informed their answer?
