FACTS:    The Bills are currently $18.13 million over the Cap.
................The Bills 20 unsigned unrestricted FAs aren't counted towards the Cap.
(Tremaine, Jordan Phillips, Devin Singletary, Jordan Poyer, Ike Boettger, Shaq Lawson, Case Keenum, Sam Martin, etc etc)
................The Bills have 4 weeks to get under by the NFL guidelines.

Yes, Brandon will play the shell game and restructure Josh Allen's contract, maybe Diggs and Von Miller, etc.

Which will help them get under the Cap, but how much will they have to sign 20 FAs?   Or any 20 players they need to fill out the roster.

Good luck Brandon....I don't know how he is going to sign Tremaine unless the signing bonus in cash will be huge....and allow the Bills to book that 2023 paid bonus over 2023-2025.

Are you sure? They raised the cap

They are over by $18+ million AFTER adjusting for the new, higher Cap.

Josh Allen's contract kicked in.  As did Von Miller's.

AND, the Bills are over by $18+ million NOT counting resigning any of our 20 Free Agents, like Tremaine, etc

Mr Beane has a LOT of work to do to get us under the CAP and free up additional Cap to sign Free Agents (and our draft picks).

Brandon will start announcing in the next 2-3 weeks that we restructured Josh's contract, maybe Stefon's, etc.  Which will just move some of their Cap Hit to 2024 and 2025, dragging us down in those years, but it will help us this year.

We really went all in on 2022 only to fail like that AT HOME !

Figures. Despite the fact that we are no longer the drought years Bills we do seem to hold on to some "traditions"

The Von Miller signing was a swing and a big miss, I don't criticize Beane for acquiring Miller but it failed miserably and will cost the Bills going forward.

It did fail but because he got hurt. He was actually playing well before that.

Over the years, Brandon has said you don't want to over spend on Free Agents because it can put you in a bind.

Then he signs Von Miller, who turns 34 next month, to a mega contract, which has a Cap Hit this year of $18.6 million this year and $21.5 million next year.

I think Brandon was thinking go all in and get to the Super Bowl in 2022.

He took a big swing, and it could end up being a big miss.  Or at the very least a foul ball.

Von Millers cap hit…..$18.6 million.

Bills amount over the cap…..$18.1 million

Time will tell if the Von contract was a good decision or not but without him the Bills aren’t in this position.

Beane knew they would be in this position when he made the deal so he must have a plan to get out of it.

Then the Rams won the SB by going all in on one year. It’s a copycat league

They did.  Sometimes when you swing for the fences, it works.  You get a home run.

Babe Ruth had a lot of home runs.   But he also had a lot of strike outs.

Hopefully we will get to the show!     In the meantime, I try to enjoy each weekend the Bills play, and win.
