Who do you think he would go after first? Me ... I'd say McDermott. You mean who would Russ Brandon being chopping. Even if alive I don't think Ralph Wilson was fully aware of what was going on since maybe 2008. IF Russ were here, we'd be down to Willie Fritz and Jim Svaboda and after that touchdown pass by the Chiefs backup he'd be trading most of our draft picks for Chad Henne. We'd all be hoping that maybe after year 25 that the drought would be done.

Those were the AFL days, when everything was coming up roses. I don't think Lou got along with Ralph. Probably about money.

TWD recently more than once in the Shoutbox proposed that the city's name in it's colloquial use is itself a joke, meaning to be fooled, etc, and as such a title belt would never be won. I don't know what to make of that, even though I am becoming increasingly aware of symbolism. Unrelated: For now I have removed a 799 word reply that focused on one matter of trivia I accidentally found out about Ralph when asking search engines a simple question they seem to associate more salacious answers with(heck, it even gave a result and Terry being months removed from Sandusky/Penn State). Sometimes folks take me as knocking an individual or group when I point out the extreme amount of power they possess(ed). That's ofen not the case, sometimes the opposite, or a neutral statement of fact. Suffice it to say, like the other owner on here I have in the past mentioned by name, Ralph had a certain status that might lead one to suspect that he had little interest in the trivial matters of sport. If the few words of Terry's I recall are truthful, I would gather he is far more interested in the success of the Bills from beyond just the financial yields than Ralph, though I would have to revisit each out of principle before strongly making such a claim. From what I've been led to believe, In the NFL the owners all share the winnings, and at the end of the season, they all get the same amount. From the SB winners on down. That tells me that winning is the furthest thing from their mind. In my opinion, they want teams that will attract the most ad revenue. They are businessmen first. They will not leave it up to chance. Sports Entertainment ...
