American Capitalism is the worse kind of capitalism.

For example , there are over 500,000  people living on the street. Over 50,000 of them Veterans.

Children going to bed hungry.

In 2021, roughly 30 million people did not have health insurance in the U.S. This number includes all age groups, but nonelderly adults have the highest uninsured rate.  Republican response/health plan is  'If you get sick DIE..

Without the ACA it would be like close to 50 million without health insurance. Thank you Obama.

The wealth divide grows exponentially with each Republican administration.

Republicans want you to believe you can live on $10. an hour while their backers are given millions/billions in tax breaks .

Republicans want you to believe you can live on $10/ hr ,while they give billions in subsidies to corporations.

While more than 170 billion dollars is expended on assorted varieties of corporate welfare the federal government spends 11 billion dollars on Aid for Dependent Children.

I could go on and on about how dehumanizing American capitalism can be .

I been saying for years: "Greatest country in the world my ass! "

Gee, just think how much your country might have benefitted from the hundreds of billions of dollars wasted on this idiotic and maniacal war in Ukraine you idiots have orchestrated.

Trust me, I have thought about it. And not just the war, but the nine hundred million dollar defense budget, which is larger than the combined defense budgets of the next seven Nations behind us.

It’s simple, most of us want the same thing: a life where we can have enough money to have a home, afford our basic needs and the ability to retire comfortably GREEDY  CEOs make that hard for ALL of us.

Score one for the good guys.

For liberty and freedom from religion.

State judge temporarily blocks South Carolina’s 6-week abortion ban

"A South Carolina judge has temporarily blocked the state’s new abortion restrictions from going into effect, just one day after Gov. Henry McMaster signed them into law.

The law, which limited most abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, was signed by McMaster, a Republican, on Thursday and went into effect immediately. Moments later, Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, along with the Greenville Women’s Clinic and two physician plaintiffs, filed a lawsuit in state court to try to stop it.

Circuit Court Judge Clifton Newman made the decision Friday in Richland County, South Carolina, to put the new law on hold until the state Supreme Court can review the case to determine whether it violates the state’s constitution."

Americans to spend $1.6 billion less on gas this Memorial Day weekend

Since all the right wingers wanted to unfairly blame Biden for the high gas prices when they were, you have to give him credit for the falling gas prices.

                                Thank You Joe

So MTG came out and says she refuses to WEAR the vaccine!!

True!  She really said that. You can't make that shit up.

Explains a lot of why so many of you right wingers are so ignorant.

There was an encounter where she yelled at someone while walking down the sidewalk that they needed to move for her because she was a Senator. I would love for that to have been me. The jail time for punching her in her fucking ugly face would have been worth it

Not quite sure what you're saying there.

Are you saying trump wasn't lying about his claims that election was stolen?

No, I'm adding the cost of those investigations to the cost of the war

Poor babies! meanwhile Desantis worries about teachers saying gay.

This couldn't happen to a nicer state.

Florida’s homeowner insurance rates are four times the national average. That’s not getting better anytime soon

Hurricane season officially starts Thursday. But no matter how many storms hit Florida this year, the state’s residents are already struggling as they try to get homeowners’ insurance.

National insurers have very little presence in Florida. Big insurance companies dominate more than half the market in the rest of the country. But in Florida, State Farm has about 7% of the market, according to the Insurance Information Institute, an industry trade group. No other major insurer has as much as 2%.

Meanwhile, the regional and local insurers left to provide coverage are in bad shape. Just more than half of insurers based in Florida are on the state insurance regulator’s watch list due to their financial health. Six were forced to liquidate last year, another one earlier this year. And to try to stay solvent, the remaining insurers are charging rates nearly four times as high as the national average. Homeowners in the state pay private insurers about $6,000 a year, compared to a national average of $1,700.

The strawberry moon will illuminate the sky this weekend

https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/03/world/june-full-moon-strawberry-moon-scn/index.html

You can watch the full moon’s rise just after sunset in the southeast direction. The orb will reach peak illumination at 11:42 p.m. ET Saturday and appear full for three days, according to NASA. Find out your local peak time using The Old Farmer’s Almanac’s full moon calculator and check the local forecast.

The name of this last full moon of the spring, which is sometimes the first full moon of the summer, has nothing to do with the moon’s appearance or color. The strawberry moon got its name from Native American tribes “to mark the ripening of ‘June-bearing’ strawberries that are ready to be gathered,” according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, which notes, “As flowers bloom and early fruit ripens, June is a time of great abundance for many.”

Fuck all those people who paid into them all their lives.
