drpepper
We await further information regarding Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who remains at last word in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after experiencing cardiac arrest on the field during last night’s game. We have nothing at this time to say about any other issues in the NFL, and we have suspended coverage [more]View the full article

The game will be played. I don't believe the game will be played this week. Our next game will be this upcoming weekend at home on Sunday January 8th @ 1:00 PM against a now very motivated Patriots team coached by Bill Bellychick. My guess is that the NFL is going to squeeze the play-offs out a week and the Bills will play the Bengals in Cinci on the night of Thursday January 12th if the game is still relevant for play-off seeding which I believe it will indeed be. Is there a one week or two week break before the Super Bowl game on Sunday February 12th? One or both teams (if Buff loses and KC win) will be playing in the wildcard the following weekend. I don’t think the NFL will move everything back for one game and if they will then just play the game on the 14th or 15th. 1 Quote Ed Oliver is my adopt-a-Bill

So it’s possible to play the game on the 14-15th and still keep the SB as is. They might do that, just after Covid I think they’ll just shoehorn it in somewhere, like they did then, without moving any more games then they have to Quote Ed Oliver is my adopt-a-Bill

That is what I meant but wasn't being communicating clearly about. Just eliminate the two week break before Super Bowl Sunday and make it a one week break like most fans have been demanding for decades. So move the Bills @ Bengals game to Thursday Night of NEXT week and start the Wild Card a week later. That's easy to do. Let all NFL players playing in the play-offs have an extra week to heal up and assuming KC wins on Saturday night in Los Vegas, give the winner of the Bills and Bengal game even more motivation since they will be the other team that gets a Bye Week rather than play on 10 days rest against a team that had 14 days rest on Wild Card Weekend. Actually it does not sound like much of disadvantage. Popular Post Thurmal
The more I think about it, the only scenario that seems plausible is the league offering a make-up date to continue the game, and the Bills declining and choosing to forfeit. Any other option disadvantages too many other teams and, while that is far from the most important issue right now, it simply is something that won't be entertained in the name of competitive integrity. This is, ironically, probably the best result for the Bills' mental and physical health as well.
miamibillsnut
How are the Bills preparing for even the Patriots next Sunday much less finishing this game. Only thing I can see happening is the Bills and Bengals play next week, everyone else is off until the following weekend. Superbowl only has 1 weeks rest. 1 Quote Sin is nothing to celebrate, have pride in, or hold parades for. The rainbow is a symbol of promise not a symbol of depravity. While I'm uncertain on the outcome/solution, I agree It seems ridiculous to move the schedules of 30 teams to accommodate 1 game. Sure the narrative of brotherhood and love are there.....but so many other factors only a "day drinker" like myself considers. Tickets, TV, etc etc etc. Your solution is one, or something reminiscent of the con**d fuckery like Bills vs Titans could be done. Quote Andy did you hear about this one?-REM . VolsBillsMagic
I don’t see us playing any games against any team as long as Damar is in critical condition. How does one play football again without Damar's status? Will Micah Hyde play in the playoffs? Will Poyer try FA after the season, or will he retire? Too many questions on hold... miamibillsnut
I kind of like this scenario other than the fact that NFC top seed gets 3 weeks off but I personally don't give three craps about me eagles cowboys or 49ers so Play Bills-Bengals during a reconfigured postseason. This is an idea that could be getting some traction, as the league tries to come up with the best bad option. Under this approach, Week 18 would proceed as scheduled. The following weekend, the NFC wild-card games would be played, along with Bills-Bengals. The next weekend, the AFC wild-card games would be played. Then, the rest of the playoffs would unfold, but without the bye week between conference championships and the Super Bowl. This would ensure that all teams play 17 games. It would give all AFC playoff teams (except the Bills and Bengals) a week off. It would give the NFC wild-card winners a week off. And the NFC No. 1 seed would go three weeks between games. 1 Quote Sin is nothing to celebrate, have pride in, or hold parades for. The rainbow is a symbol of promise not a symbol of depravity. Interesting. I still the key is eliminating the 2 week break before Super Bowl Sunday and that reduction to only one week would be very popular among NFL fans. Flan
I bet the NFL is "rooting" for the Patriots and Chiefs win as it would make the Bills Bengals game less meaningful in the standings.
