It's not, no.  Biologists are firmly in my camp that trans people are valid.  I had this conversation with Hip about a month ago.  He misunderstood what "environmental factors" meant and insisted that it was the world around us that contributed to the existence of gay and trans people, but what the study meant by environmental factors was the hormone wash you receive in utero.

That's not what I said, exactly. I said that many people who choose alternate lifestyle do so because of social trends and failures in personal relationships

Stop pushing kids to make decisions they'll end up regretting

There is no data in the entire world that supports the belief that this is a demographic that exists to anywhere near the degree you believe it does.  Regret rate for transition is VERY low, and even among those who report regretting it they predominantly cite social stigma and affordability as the primary reasons for that regret and for eventual detransition.  Even then, 60% of detransitioners will end up retransitioning at some point in their lifetimes.

You are fearmongering over a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of trans kids.  You are not making a rational argument whatsoever.

You are disgusted at the thought of trans people.  You are disgusted at the thought of having a trans son.  You are disgusted at the thought of having to treat a trans teacher as though she is your equal.  You are a bigot, flailing for any port in a storm to rationalize that bigotry, and you put me on ignore because I am relentless in striking each rationalization down one after another.

"choos(ing) alternate lifestyles" is not the same as being trans.

It is certainly true that more trans people will come out when doing so trends in the direction of being accepted, but like....wouldn't that be a consideration for YOU if YOU were trans?  You aren't capable of owning the fact that you hate trans people and want them all to die or disappear, and you expect me to believe you'd have the courage to tell your family and the people you call friends that your pronouns are she/her?

Not a chance.  If you weren't confident that you'd either:

a) be accepted by them; or

2) have a thriving queer community in your area that you can turn to for moral and/or financial support if the worst case scenario opposite of A happened

then you would stay in the closet and date women as a man as long as you could stomach doing so, at which point you may come out IN THE WAKE OF a failed personal relationship, but not intrinsically BECAUSE OF it.

Social stigma and interpersonal relationships are an influence in whether a trans person comes out.  They are not an influence on whether that person is trans.

Ultimately at the core of it you've just created this circular moral standard where anytime a trans person comes out in a fashion that displeases you, you feel validated in denying their authenticity, and the more "inauthentic" trans people you see the more displeased you are broadly, so it's easier and easier for any particular coming out to displease you, until you feel as though the inauthentic trans people outnumber the authentic trans people, at which point you'd have to think any future trans people must know this and therefore from now on if you see someone come out in passing you just assume by default that they're inauthentic and eventually you find yourself totally incapable of imagining the category of "trans people" as a demographic worthy of special consideration to ensure they are not systemically discriminated against because they're not real.

This is genocidal dehumanization.  It doesn't mean you literally believe they are subhuman.  It just means you can't bring yourself to take them seriously when they try to tell you their rights are being threatened or even actively oppressed.

It's not too late for you to get out of this spiral.  I can help you, and then you can help me stop what's coming.  But if you wait until they say out loud that they've wanted to get rid of trans people all along it will be too late to stop them.  They will not say it now, because they know if they did the overwhelming majority would oppose them.  That won't matter anymore when they end democracy, which you and I agree is their objective.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: The above 2 posts should be considered as a single cohesive reply to the quoted post, but it took me so long to find the right words to express the 2nd half upon editing the first that I felt it was more responsible to make it a separate post in case you read the 1st half when I submitted it prematurely and never bothered to go back and read the complete essay after I edited in the rest of it.

So are you saying that if being trans was cool, and your love life was a failure, that you would choose to be trans?

No, silly, you don't get it!  That's just WORDS!  Words don't make bad things happen!

Unless, uhhhh....unless those words are "trans and queer people deserve to be treated with respect."  That is a mystical incantation that makes children more receptive to engaging in sexual acts.

Regret rate is very low, yet they need psychological care for, what, their entire lives to help them cope with the fact that they're going against their own DNA and the instinctive anxiety that comes from mutilating their bodies??

Dumbfuck, stop putting words in my mouth. Your as bad as the MAGA's accusing me of being a Biden supporter.

What I'm disgusted at is assholes like YOU manipulating CHILDREN! Either you are too stupid to get that or you are intentionally ignoring that so that you can keep arguing. Or you just have so much brain damage, you cannot differentiate children from adults

I don't give fat, flying fuck what adults do.

It is when people who crossdress or assume the roles of the opposite sex to satisfy their sexual urges. And there is an entire internet FULL of millions of examples of those people.

Your problem is that you think trans only means people who feel they were born in the wrong body. "Trans" covers a wider range of personalities.

So youre saying YOU would never be lonely enough, or think being trans is trendy enough to do?

What percent of the trans population are doing this? Can you cite that for me?

What evidence is there that these people pose any danger to children? Can you cite that for me?

All the lgbtqgryryfgfggtjht side has to do is change some words and  just like magic, its supposedly objective and the rest of us have to abide.

They get a psychotic "biologist" or "doctor" to agree with them and all of a suddent, science is on their side.

A delusional person who thinks the moon is made of cheese only needs one delusional "doctor" to agree and then Mickey Mouse will dream of landing on the moon .

I would suggest arming Blacks with AR-15's, Republicans would be rushing to pass new gun control laws .   That did happen in the late 60's. Maybe have a Black person sneak into a CPAC convention with one.  Most of these legislators know what the right thing to do is, but they are all so corrupted by NRA blood money they turn their backs on the preventable deaths of children or anyone else. These mass killings with weapons of war were almost unheard of when there was a ban on semi-automatics from 1994 to 2004. So the Republican congress and President  took the NRA blood money and repealed that gun control law.  And yes that law did significantly lower and prevent mass shootings and deaths from such. https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2022/06/15/did-the-assault-weapons-ban-of-1994-bring-down-mass-shootings-heres-what-the-data-tells-us/,

Anyone thinking they need a semi-automatic to control vermin is one ignorant sick POS. So  that would include every right winger in this forum.  Perhaps some of their loved ones being blown apart by one of these guns of war might convince them otherwise. Or some sick fckers walking into police dept's with one.

And hey you RW assholes, your vaunted NRA, promoters of guns of war, the murders of children and concealed and open carry aren't as stupid as you and they won't allow guns at their conventions.  They're laughing all the way to the bank while simultaneously laughing at your ignorance.

You're totally clueless and ignorant yet your kind ALWAYS has the biggest mouth. The NRA promotes nothing but gun safety and responsible LEGAL gun ownership. Do you know what a semi-automatic is? You are also ignorant of the long-standing FBI statistic that prove the safest areas in the U.S. are those where guns are plentiful and regularly carried, the areas with the most gun violence are gun free zones, choose one. I would also submit that if an individual is willing to commit murder that that individual won't be swayed by another gun law that accomplishes nothing but put law abiding citizens at a disadvantage in a self-defense situation. I have been a proud card-carrying member of the NRA for the last 32 years and I support them financially as well with yearly donations. The NRA is freedoms safest place.

I'm guessing they probably need the therapy because that's who's prescribing the hormones they need to keep taking.
