There is no data in the entire world that supports the belief that this is a demographic that exists to anywhere near the degree you believe it does.  Regret rate for transition is VERY low, and even among those who report regretting it they predominantly cite social stigma and affordability as the primary reasons for that regret and for eventual detransition.  Even then, 60% of detransitioners will end up retransitioning at some point in their lifetimes.

"choos(ing) alternate lifestyles" is not the same as being trans.  

It is certainly true that more trans people will come out when doing so trends in the direction of being accepted, but like....wouldn't that be a consideration for YOU if YOU were trans?  You aren't capable of owning the fact that you hate trans people and want them all to die or disappear, and you expect me to believe you'd have the courage to tell your family and the people you call friends that your pronouns are she/her? 

Not a chance.  If you weren't confident that you'd either:

a) be accepted by them; or

2) have a thriving queer community in your area that you can turn to for moral and/or financial support if the worst case scenario opposite of A happened

then you would stay in the closet and date women as a man as long as you could stomach doing so, at which point you may come out IN THE WAKE OF a failed personal relationship, but not intrinsically BECAUSE OF it.  

Social stigma and interpersonal relationships are an influence in whether a trans person comes out.  They are not an influence on whether that person is trans.

Ultimately at the core of it you've just created this circular moral standard where anytime a trans person comes out in a fashion that displeases you, you feel validated in denying their authenticity, and the more "inauthentic" trans people you see the more displeased you are broadly, so it's easier and easier for any particular coming out to displease you, until you feel as though the inauthentic trans people outnumber the authentic trans people, at which point you'd have to think any future trans people must know this and therefore from now on if you see someone come out in passing you just assume by default that they're inauthentic and eventually you find yourself totally incapable of imagining the category of "trans people" as a demographic worthy of special consideration to ensure they are not systemically discriminated against because they're not real.  

This is genocidal dehumanization.  It doesn't mean you literally believe they are subhuman.  It just means you can't bring yourself to take them seriously when they try to tell you their rights are being threatened or even actively oppressed.  

It's not too late for you to get out of this spiral.  I can help you, and then you can help me stop what's coming.  But if you wait until they say out loud that they've wanted to get rid of trans people all along it will be too late to stop them.  They will not say it now, because they know if they did the overwhelming majority would oppose them.  That won't matter anymore when they end democracy, which you and I agree is their objective.
