If the thought of any of these angers you then replace Russia with the US and then you will begin to see why Putin invaded.

Except that isn't what happened after Yanukovych fled.  We didn't handpick the people who took control of the government.  What ACTUALLY happened is that it was just the largest opposition party that took control, because that's pretty fucking obviously the most logical succession plan.  That's why those are the people Nuland asks about on the call.

Everything pretty much goes back to what it was before Feb.  Ukraine is federal (autonomy to Donbass), Ukraine abides by Minsk, Russia keeps Crimea, war is done, but no Zelensky decided to be the pet of Boorish and Biden and continued the bar fight and now he is on the floor.  You know, he's gonna go like Bin Laden or Saddam.  For his sake I hope I'm wrong and he ends up teaching at Hoover Institute at Stanford or some other neocon think tank, but I can quite easily see him being murdered and then glorified a martyr when the west decides he'd serve the west better dead than alive. Russia probably wants to keep him alive so he doesn’t become a martyr.
