I don't miss Daboll. He lost to one of the worst team in the league.

Never said he was a great headcoach. Miss him as a coordinator. Are you happy with our offense now ? Do you.remember what this offense was like last years playoffs compared to what it's like today?

The offense in the second half is how it should look for the remainder of the season. If we commit to the run we can’t be stopped.

And Daboll never ran the ball. So yes, Daboll sucked balls and still sucks balls.

As a coordinator? The O broke Kelly's records under him. No one ever played a perfect game vs. a Bellicheat D like we did lastbyear. The O was at its best ever in the playoffs last year where you play the best teams . If it wasn't for the 13 sec D collapse, we.wouldve won the sb . I doubt we win it this year unless we turn it around offensively.  I'll take the win today but the browns are no KC.

Forget KC , I hope we can even win the division.

Ok so you want to judge Dorsey halfway through the season, but you want to judge Daboll after the entire season last year? How does that make sense?

If you look at Daboll after week 11 last year you will want to throw up in your mouth. He only started calling good games at the end of the year.

I say we get the run game going from here, and nobody will stop us. I don’t miss Daboll one bit. Not even as the water boy.

I haven't called Dorsey a bust. I have not given up on him.  Simply stating the obvious. He is a first time play caller and it's showing. Allen was worse when Daboll was first brought in but calling a spade a spade.

Singletary.ran the ball well on the playoffs last year and I don't care if we weren't running like the best as long as Allen was playing like the best.

Again, this thread wasn't meant to put Dorsey down but simply.pointing out the obvious. Allen and the O isn't the same.playoffs O from last year and I'm worried because my goal is the superbowl and not the playoffs. It's superbowl or bust for me.

I agree, it’s the goal for all of us.

There will be slumps along the way, no matter who the coordinator is.

Let’s revisit this thread at the end of the year.

Good grief people always pissing and moaning!  Bills have a ton of significant injuires on Defense and they hardly practiced at all this week due to mother nature.

Bills called a pretty good game.  First half offense was just not in synch....lack of practice has a lot to do with that.

Missing Edmunds hurts against the run, missing Tre White, Hyde hurts the secondary as well.  Rousseau also adds a bit of pass rush to the game as well.

It is a good thing the Bills have quality depth on defense or we would be in deep trouble.  Once the Bills get a little more healthy, they will steam roll most teams.

Josh and the team as a whole seemed to be in a slump.   As I said earlier this week, last week it appeared they were trending out of it, and it seems like that now as well.  As I posted I think this morning, Josh Allen is 3rd in the NFL in passing yardage.  I appreciate @RichJ'S explanation.  Dorsey is in his rookie season....and like Daboll has bright moments and times that are not as good.

There is another way Dorsey may be effecting the offense that I'm not sure I've seen mentioned this board, nut have elsewhere.I'll mention again, I again saw someone bring up QB coach Joe Brady replacing Dorsey.....that Dorsey no longer doing what he did for Josh in the past and how that may be effecting him when in a funk.  I don't claim to know, but being one of the purposes of these types of boards is to encourage speculation(sadly the conditioning seems to have leaked out of football and into "real"-life issues too, which your rulers truly appreciate), I figured that component should at least be something other than completely unconsidered.

RichJ, let's see how things look as the sample size gets a bit larger, provided highly improbable obstacles to the goal decide to take a vacation(hopefully permanent, like the Aerosmith album title). Speaking of which, it seems logical some semblance health on defense would get the offense the ball more often, which logically might make Josh, Dorsey, and others feel somewhat less pressured.  While it might be speculation what exactly that might translate into, any modicum of confidence might be the straw that helps break the funk's back.

tl;dr If the Bills season were a stock, when the doubters were the most emboldened,  would seem the optimal time to be buying.   Sadly, apparently those who speak with their money rahter than on here have kept vegas priices high on the Bills.  Otherwise folks could have made the most out of the situation with the immediate games, as well as futures like Super Bowl odds.  (disclaimer, Rich, the following isnt aimed at you, I just dont know how many more posts I have in me tonight, if any)  Apparently, the pockets of extreme despair and claims of gross negligence and incopetence aimed year after year at OBD by a dedicated cadre who makes sure they are over-represented in the atmosphere, is not refflective of the public perception of those who make a practice of putting their money where their mouth is, and having skin in the gane at least try to make be bettor(sic)at evaluation than those who aim to be the Marylin Mansons of Bills' message boards.

I think betting something as small as a dollar or 2 per game literally might be a very effective tool for both encouraging nad maybe to a lesser extent enabling a measure of objectivity in those whom it might most benefit(of which I make no statement of awareness.  In my experience, encourages a more comprehensive look than latching on to whichever narratives cause folks to feel the best....though I definitely am not endorsing such behavior for anyone who judges themselves incapable of maintaining self control,or anyone who might put themselves in the position of being reliant on the outcome.  Sadly(though at this point[also sadly] still confided to the realms of anecdote by those who would lose large fortunes if it were allowed not to be) it is far safer having skin in the game than those in the experiment.  My friend lost site in his eye after fornicating with one.  I've not  had motivation to look into it much, but I think it may be within a period of a week of them shooting up, and not an all the time kind of thing and I have no idea if other self inflicteds share the same risk as the healthy.  An honest establishment would logically conduct a study of fornicators like daryls, whose lfe matters too, in my opinion.  Di reference the National Geographic article from a good while ago about them "working on" self-spreading versions of the disease for those strong enough to resist coercion(actually, IIRC it think it was presented in relation to animal populations, by folks with much better knowledge of strategery [sic, nostalgia] han myself).  (Hint, "working on" is generally a euphemism for those who don't realize the Patriot Act was written in advance and waiting for the "Pearl Harbor-like event written about in PNAC by the neocons[trotskites/jacobians] who were the death of the Republican party, as well as those who believe warp speed actually exists in real life.  While I haven't cared enough yet, seekers of truth may find records of patents useful when evaluating the existence of warp drive technology.  I didn't do this justice, the combination of grogginess and the compelling nature of the Chiefs/Chargers is making your society's conditioned style of linear thinking at the moment almost as challenging as it is unappealing.   Normally this gets cut and pasted into a text file to spare you(and me), but eventually one deems the potential of adding light worth looking the control mechanisms of the potential toll in the eye and feeling at peace.

I do like abpit Mahomes how he makes sure to get rid of the ball as opposed to taking a sack better than most, then again perception is likely tainted from watching NCAA lately.  I won't get into wishing vets got half the ovverdramtic attention people getting shot in a bar get. regardless if they have unusual proclivities.  Go Superchargers!

Seand criticizes the Bills the same way that Leftists criticize capitalism.   They point to a couple of flaws (usually caused by criminality - criminality in capitalism means a private crook gets rich, criminality in socialism means a government crook gets rich and atrocities occur), compare it to their unrealized pie-in-the-sky ideal, and assume that everything else good will continue if they get what they propose.  How has that worked for our country?

Keep Daboll instead of McDermott?  Stupidest thing I have ever heard.   Daboll hadn't yet proven that he could transition to had coach.   He now has proven that and is winning by copying McDermott's approach.   The Giants will end up 10-7 or 9-8 and sneak into the playoffs; just like the 2017 Bills.  Then Schoen and Daboll will amass draft assets and get their QB; just like the 2018 Bills.

As far as McDermott wanting to play 1975 football?  I never believed that was the case.   He played that way because Rick Dennison was our OC and Tyrod was our QB - with limited weapons.  He also was the first to go 100% nickel.  This team was designed to pass and stop the pass.

He also ensured we drafted a QB when we were ready.
