Well, that part is true; shit.  The "Inflationary Reduction Act”, which is anything but that, the most important legislation in decades, was ~2,300 pages that was put out for ten days for review, I believe, before it was voted on where about 80 Democrats in the house chose to vote by proxy on the bill because they “can’t be personally bothered to show up.”  It was summer vacation time after all.  Plus, Nancy extended the “house emergency proxy voting rule” for covid19 just to allow it for this bill.  Yeah, that was neat. By rule the Republicans could do nothing more than "attack" as you say but it was really an attempt to point out the terrible flaws and inflationary aspects of that bill.  Of course the leftist lame stream media had the Democrats back the whole time and portray the story just as you fell for it.  The rest of what you blew over was complete bullshit.  If we are relegated to a lopsided representation of the news and people do not take the time or give a damn about getting a little educated, we, as a nation, are going down in a big way.  I went looking on Google for real truth and information on how that bill was handled and finally passed and it was amazing to see how much of the references were one-sided and covered up with all the folderol that the Democrats were putting out.  That's what we have to deal with.  

Spending and spending and spending money that we don't have (and of course lying about how it will be paid for) is an inflationary nightmare we will see get worse.  

The Red Wave was not as expected by both the Republicans and the Democrats.  But it wasn't bad either.  That are a lot of state legislatures that are Republicans and as most politicians will tell you, good legislature starts at the bottom and works its way up.  We have got to get these idiots out of the blue cities and states.

First off, almost no one reads every page of any bill. Voting by proxy - not anything new.

The biggest thing about this election is that the balance may be tipped but not enough to have any real effect. You need 67 votes to override a Veto - not gonna happen. The 2 Independents in the Senate usually vote with the Left.

What this vote shows is that the people are sick of the bullshit and want a Government that works on policy instead of non-stop accusation, lies and attacks. That's the important part.
