But Ukraine isn't Nazi, honest.

That's a perfectly reasonable no vote.  General Assembly Resolutions are non-binding, so they are the very definition of virtue signaling= a thing you've recently said is bad, remember?  Votes like this come up all the time with ulterior motives and it's best to vote against them even if you agree with the message in principle.  This particular resolution sounds like it was being used to promote precisely the narrative you're going with, the dumbfuck "UkRAinE iz nAZi" bullshit (despite of course Ukraine having the lowest rates of anti-Semitism in eastern Europe, as I've demonstrated previously).

Voting against a thing you support because it is being brought to a vote in bad faith is a pretty common practice, and it goes beyond the U.N.  In 2019 every Democrat- including Bernie Sanders- voted against a Green New Deal resolution in the Senate because they knew Mitch McConnell was only bringing it up so it could become a talking point in 2020 campaign messaging.  There's nothing here to attack.

Ummmmmm, no

Definition of Nazi

1: a member of a German fascist party controlling Germany from 1933 to 1945 under Adolf Hitler

2: often not capitalized

a: one who espouses the beliefs and policies of the German Nazis : FASCIST
b: one who is likened to a German Nazi : a harshly domineering, dictatorial, or intolerant person

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes.

A high-powered mutant of some kind, never even considered for mass production.

Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”

I like how you post western media when you think it fits your narrative. But if I do it, I'm pushing propaganda.

Lol

Give your head a shake.

One person's behavior does not necessarily justify the behavior of another.

Gibby and I post our reasons for coming to the conclusions we hold and try to post western sources where we can because xenophobic and racist Americans won't even READ explanations from the side they've been coached to believe are evil incarnate.

Our behavior does not justify your own.

Try to remember, just because you hate Republicans and Donald Trump doesn't automatically  make you some sort of prize.

Indeed you are.  You will remember that back in Feb I said I would not post Russian sources and indeed I have not posted one article from RT, Sputnik, TASS, the MOD, MFA, Kremlin or any number of solid twitter or telegram accounts.  Why? Because I know they have reason to skew facts to fit their narrative.  Fwiw, I also mainly don't post American, British or Ukrainian stuff for the same reason, Bidet, Elinsky, and the corporate state press are desperately attempting to sell you a [proxy]war.  You would either have to be very gullible or wilfully stupid to not understand that.  Here, here is a solid illustration of your understanding of Ukraine by regurgitating propaganda without so much as questioning it.

You can take pride in reposting propaganda but as much as you think, ignorance is not virtuous and nor is it strength

When I asked you directly if russia had ever done anything wrong, neither of you would answer.

The US was wrong to start an offensive war based on lies in Iraq.

Your turn.

Gorbachev was wrong to think we would keep our word, and should have gotten Jim Bakker's promise codified in a formal written treaty.

Wait, find that thread I am pretty sure I listed several things in it.  So link it please.

Not at all, getting a treaty with that language ratified would have stopped 30 years of slow burn to disaster.

Another mistake, Stalin putting faith in the junk science of Ukrainian agronomist Trofim Lysenko because it seemed to dovetail with his understanding of Marxism-Leninism, damn 9 million dead in Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, setting back Soviet agriculture yields by 3 decades and then after Brezhnev fired him he went to China and killed 20 to 30 million more people.

You're asking us to engage in a logical fallacy to signal our virtue.

Sorry, but I don't need to dance myself to accuse you of being clumsy and rhythmless.

Just now, Herodotus said:

Okay, two big American wrongs:

Indian removal policy
The Mexican American War.

Only the British and French have less of a right to bitch about redrawing maps and taking territory than we do.

Notice here you're able to say AMERICAN wrongs but when asked about Russian wrongs you specifically lay the blame on Gorbachev and Lysenko, individuals.

The implication when you do this is that America is an inherently corrupt nation-state, but that as long as the right people are in charge in Russia the state can be directed toward benevolence and good will in the world.  Speaking as an anarchist, that's fucking nonsense.  It's an extension of Great Man Theory.  Much like corporations under capitalism have a fiduciary duty to put their own profit above any humanitarian objective that may arise, the State has its own interests it must prioritize over global humanitarian causes as well.  Sometimes in both cases those interests will intersect, but there are too many instances when they clash for the State to be a concept that comports with achieving a better planet for everybody who lives on it.

Okay, what do you want? Serfdom? We had slavery? Religious persecution? They've always been a lot more religiously diverse than us.  Oh, wait I get it, the moon.  Well you see they tried and yeah that was a failure on their part but not a mistake.  Being right wing authoritarian? Jeeesus, we fought a fucking war where half the country sent its young men to die to keep slaves.  Not sure I understand your question.

Oh, I know, winning world war two? The alternative was Hitler.  Oh no, wait, is it their literature? Take your time with War and Peace, get past 300 or so and it takes on a life of its own.  Destroying colonialism and the old imperial order? Shame on them, black africans and asians should be racist.  Interfering with our civil war by offering Lincoln their navy to help enforce the Union blockade at the same time British and French diplomats were warming to the CSA? I mean what is it you want?  Oh is it the Orthodox thing where there is a man and a woman and not parent 1, 2 and 3? Well that's both elitist and biggoted of you.

If you're going to ask me a question, the common courtesy is to wait for me to answer before reaching the next point in your head where my answer must be bad so you get to dismiss my point before I've even had the opportunity to state it.  This is textbook bad faith.

Again, another side's bad behavior does not justify one's own.
