Climate change and green energy hurts us and makes China better...leaving us less reliable energy at a higher cost. The constant racism and equity push also keeps Americans divided and is used as a political tool at any opportunity. Disgusting policies like men in women's sports, gender reassignment surgeries for children, and the constant push for the world to embrace the LGBTQ+-÷#XYZ is strange to say the least. Open borders and crime ridden cities, the covid lockdowns and mandates which killed small businesses and damaged our kids so they lost valuable learning and socialization skills, the illegal changes of election laws which has led people to question our elections and their security/integrity...I could keep going. The weird thing about your post is you talk about the economy and things like Healthcare and SS, but Obama fucked up Healthcare, and SS is something that nobody can truly fix unless it's completely revamped...if that's even possible. The Trump economy was booming before Corona, which coincidentally hit in the election year where Dems locked us down to crush the economy (intentionally to hurt orange man), and to change election laws (illegally) to intentionally hurt the orange man and steal the vote from we, the people that just wanted to keep America on the course it was on before covid. All incomes were rising, businesses were growing, and costs on energy were well at hand since we were energy independent. No wars, no out of control crime or border, and no wokeism garbage. That's changed over the past year not because of anything they've done- my position remains steadfastly opposed to their political project- but because of what the GOP has done. You look at the things they've passed on a state level, and it's clear what the Republican national project is. You've got laws banning gender-affirming care, you have state AGs declaring that parents of trans kids are going to be investigated by Child Services, you've got laws creating new marriage classifications that exclude same-sex couples, you have the abortion bans that are making 10 year old rape victims cross state lines for procedures, you've got bills that allow parents to demand genital inspections of girls playing sports in middle and high school. All of that would be bad enough, but you also have "election reform" that we both know is just red states finding new ways to disenfranchise people who are unlikely to vote for them. And on top of everything, we're seeing laws criminalizing protest and making it LEGAL to hit protesters with your car. Our democracy was already hanging by a thread. If they get to pass this kind of corrupt election reform federally and couple it with anti-protest legislation, we have absolutely no recourse to fight back. If you can't vote them out and they can murder you when you try to organize in the streets, that's it. We're finished. That led me to the somber realization that voting for Democrats is a moral necessity. Democrats fucking suck dog tits. They do nothing and ask us to be happy about it. But the Republican Party has to lose and there is no mathematical rationalization to believing anybody is winning elections besides the red team or the blue team. If the red team wins we all lose. If the blue team wins we don't win. But at least with the blue team if things get bad enough we'll still have the right to take to the streets and show our grassroots resolve.
