Looks like a lot of russians dont want to die for russia either.

You think these are the same people that voted for putin and wanted war with ukraine?

After 7 months of lying their asses off, now they're credible?

To clarify, you think that Russians escaping Putin's conscription is really just Russian traffic like in LA?

You think CNN and other news orgs are just making this up?

If that is your claim, please back that up with evidence.

I have a degree in film history and I worked in the business for 35 years.

I could not view #2, but I did watch #1 and #3.

Footage of the same traffic jam at the Georgia border and some footage of ladies yelling at police in a language I can't understand.

It's only the narrator that characterizes what's happening in sinister terms.

Any reasonably adept editor could put this together from existing footage of some completely unrelated incident.

For example, here's a huge lineup of Americans trying to escape to Canada...

Sure, very logical explanation.

BUT, can you prove it?

What would it take for you to believe it?

You made claim but provided no evidence.

Sorry, but opinions dribbling out of some CNN mouthpiece is not evidence.

Neither is a traffic backup or some agitated females, nor are the opinions of a couple of "random" ukrainians.

oh and F8, its not just CNN, Youtube videos categorically should be taken with an ocean of salt, well here, here is Barack Obama on why you should never trust youtube videos, especially those manufactured, edited, spliced, and pieced together by those who have agenda to sell you and think so little of you that they will lie to your face:

https://youtu.be/cQcd41RO25k

For the righties on here, there is no truth to this video, and its obviously a bad edit.  However, it does prove my point that that you should never trust youtube videos, especially when they are edited together by people who have no reason to tell you the truth because they want to sell you something.

For more on why you should not trust youtube videos, we ironically enough turn to a science journalist, Peter Hadfield, who has a large following on his Potholer54 Youtube channel.  Here now, is Potholer54 on why you should always be careful with something you see on youtube:

I'm sure some are leaving but I don't see why any of them would be "fleeing".

It's not like they're in any particular danger.

Buh buh buh Shiva, they might evade the draft, why in our country they could follow Bill and George and Donald to the White House, but in Russia they could get prison sentences.

BTW, for anyone who's interested in film history and propaganda, here's one of the greatest films ever made, The Battle of Algiers, written and directed by Gillo Pontecorvo.

Along with Peter Watkins, they invented the docudrama.

Unfortunately it's only in French with no subtitles, but you'll get what's going on.

The whole thing is staged to look like a documentary film...

Last thing I read, it was against the law in Ukraine for men between 18 and 65 to leave the country.

They are all expected to do their duty as cannon fodder.

Shiva, do you remember how you once posted the thread about "there is only one propaganda film?" You know the one about the Japanese? Well, there is only one anti-Russian film.  All the others are copied from it.  I am referring to the hilariously bad Coronet Educational film from the early 1950s called Communism.  Yes, Shiva, its quite bad but all "journalism," "social media," and Russia bashing bullshit hails from it.  So uh Shiva, "Have you ever heard of Karl Marx?"

combine that with the outlawing of opposition parties, independent journalism, citizens prohibited from taking photos of Russian bombing and combat operations, and the international kill list. Yes, seriously, they have a fucking international kill list.  Yeah talk about Democracy. . . .  The Ukronazis seriously have a kill list of enemies of the people in Ukraine and abroad so come on you fucking Bandera sons of bitches I'll send ya back to your Grandpa Bandera and uncle Hitler

Myrotvorets or Mirotvorets (Ukrainian: Миротворець, lit.'Peacemaker' /mɪrɔ'tvɔrɛt͡sʲ/), is a Ukrainian Kyiv-based[4] open-source investigation [5] website and NGO that publishes a running list, and sometimes personal information, of people who are considered by authors of the organization to be "enemies of Ukraine",[9] or, as the website itself states, "whose actions have signs of crimes against the national security of Ukraine, peace, human security, and the international law".[10] The website was launched in December 2014 by Ukrainian politician and activist Georgy Tuka.[11][12] The site has remained open despite repeated requests from the UN, G7 ambassadors, the EU and human rights groups to close it down, and although it has no official status, it acts to supplement government databases at checkpoints.[13] In 2018, German Foreign Ministry asked the Ukrainian government to delete the website.

Ok, you admit that there are people leaving Russia.

Why would those people be leaving if they are not in danger?

Seems like a lot of traffic, no?

Who is reporting that lots of men are fleeing Russia?
What is their bias?
Why are they telling you this?
Why should you believe them?

Can you confirm what they are saying is true?
Why do you believe them?

Why do people leave the US and Canada when they're not in danger?

Now, I'm sure everyone in Russia is aware of the dangerous situation and any dangerous situation is going to involve people fleeing for whatever reasons.

But this is just propaganda. Hype.

Not because of the war in Ukraine, I know that much.

So you admit there is unrest and danger in Russia and that this is a legitimate reason for people to flee?

So what's the number of russians fleeing their country that would make you say "wow, that's alot of people fleeing danger in russia."?
