Does Poyer's incentive rework mean he's gone after this season?

Giving Poyer a rework on his incentives looks like a HERE, BE HAPPY WITH THIS, no?

I hope the Bills extend him but this just looks like a payoff/buyout. Maybe the incentives replace the extension, plus he doesn't get that money unless he reaches the incentives/goals. Does anybody know what the incentives are? I'd assume INTs, Pro Bowl, All Pro, etc. If he isn't restructured and extended during the season, will he be after the season? Or only if he meets the incentives? I'd hate to see that duo split up.

Yes, Bills will not resign Poyer. They have been grooming 2 safety's for 3 years. This is very obvious.

Beane has surprised me a bunch of times with his re-signings...so I don't know if Poyer is gone or not.

I do feel Beane has a cap for what he will pay a Safety.   Poyer must want more than that.

We need to draft a Safety in the first 3 rounds next year either way.

Football is a business.

There are tough decisions to make at times.    Buffalo liked Harrison Phillips, for example, but he wanted more than Beane could pay.

Heck, when Jordan Phillips left at the beginning of 2020, it was because Beane had a number, and didn't want to go over that number.   The Cards paid him $10 million for 2020.    This year the Bills are paying him $5 million.

Benford is our future stud safety. Same career path as Micah Hide who started out at CB

Benford could be of best value at Corner.  We will have to see.   If Benford gets better and better at corner, I wouldn't move him.   Top NFL CBs are very valuable.

Of course Jarius Byrd was a corner in college, but switched to safety once in the NFL.

Already have Tre white and Kaiir Elam. More value in getting the best 11 out there. Bills like safeties with CB skills, easy to convert a cover two CB to safety. Just like Byrd...Poyer was a ballhawk CB in college as well

Hey Spiked, I wanted to take a moment and renounce my negative post to you publicly.  After being the only member who frequently posted with a capital J at the end of their screen name for many years, I just saw a list on  the right (of frequent contributors) and some RichJ has either appeared or re-appeared, and though I know nothing about this member, being Rich rhymes with Bitch, I would guess that's whom you were taking a jab at, even though I also agree that everyone deserves due process(and probably go further than said member, in pointing out how over the years things like the banning of even the mention of "jury nullification" have for the most part tipped the scales in favor of prosecution, along with having my father tell me that those Dateline shows with all their twists almost always end in guilty, which I think conditions potential jurors to think likewise), so I may in fact be more deserving of your insult than @RichJ, if I am being honest.  Anyhow, being it also negates me saying that you were two-faced, I figured it would be honorable to seek you out, renounce my post, and do so publicly.  I wish I could take it back, and hope this humble and sincere post will let you know that part of it was me being conditioned to being the only regular capital J-ending poster for awhile.  It seems like I've lost that designation, as well as some self-respect for being unaware of this member and their apparent meteoric rise.  I hope they do the letter justice as the new standard bearer.

(@rcas0308, most of this post is directed to folks in general, only the first couple of sentences were responding to the above quote)

I certainly see your point, and just want to add that Beane seems to enjoy wheeling and dealing(and gotten better at it since he first arrived), so it's possible a player who could bring CB value in a trade gets dealt   I make no claims of expertise, I just like to add perspectives if I don't notice them mentioned.

I'm with those who would like to see Poyer stay(remember all the times staff was ridiculed when they didn't listen to the Range demands of "pay the man!"), but I don't thing firing his old agent and replacing him with the (IIRC)somewhat notorious Drew Rosenhaus to be a harbinger of hope, to put it mildly.

Somewhat off-topic but related to agents, I some some harsh shoutbox ridicule. that due to the apparent never-ending stream on here I sometimes for sake of efficiency use the less-accurate but culturally accepted term "hate". directed at Lamar Jackson for not getting a parasitic agent and just taking whatever he is offered.  Members went on the say he sucked and will lose out greatly due to such.  While that hot take is possible, I admire Lamar Jackson for believing in himself, and for taking responsibility for his finances on his own, rather than to pay however many millions to a parasite for simply negotiating a deal.  I am likely to repeat this, but his earlier season flip into the end zone vs the Chiefs was probably my favorite/most memorable non-Bills NFL memory of last season.  His coach's class handshake and words to HCSM also add to me have a much diminished dislike of the Ravens than I had in the past.

No problem.

My reference to RichJ is to always call him BitchJ and if you see how this piece of shit is following me around this site in his obsession to be slapped around by me then you can see why I make said reference.

Follow? It's so like you to act like a victim. You started flinging insults  just because we differ in political opinion. I told you that if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes. Then you went on to threaten to  harm me if you ever met me.

You are a 60 something year  old but act like a 10 year old.  You've acted like that here in the past, in billszone and then continued to do so when you came back. You treat people.like crap and then  act like a victim,  then run to your mommy shiva for help.

Just a general question my friend asked me that I did not have an answer to....

If another poster uses a photo of you as his avatar, does it mean he wants to suck your cock or for you to fuck him aggressively without lube in the ass?

LOL....yes probably most likely....but for you to ask this question from a "friend"....me thinks perhaps sub conciousley you would have no issues in reciprocating the deed....lol
