Would You Want OBJ?

If he is healthy and the price is right. Absolutely. He can be a diva but he is a great player. He also helped the Rams win the Super Bowl last year. Could you imagine Allen having Diggs, Davis, OBJ to throw to. Other teams would have to pick their poison on who they want to double cover. Again it depends on his health and the cost.

Gotta wait to see how things look as playoff time approaches (when he'll be ready to play again). If things are rolling on offense, I don't wanna mess with the formula too much, but if they're in some bizarre rut (like they got in last year), might as well try something new.

Are you going to take snaps away from Davis?

Did you know he had the same statistical output last year compared to his rookie year? After his playoff game against the Colts I thought he was going to have a huge season….and literally forgot all about him until the first Jets game which was like week 10. All I’m saying is he better step up and be that #2 guy and not wait until the post season…and he won’t have to worry about OBJ since the dude wouldn’t be able to play until Nov anyway.

Assuming the guys making the roster at WR are - Diggs, Davis, Crowder, Mckenzie, Shakir and my guess would be Kumerow with Austin possibly making it as a return specialist....Yeah, I'd take him, he'd likely work in a rotation and likely wouldn't be good to go till November at the earliest, by then someone will either be hurt or expendable for a guy like OBJ

He wasn’t there very long…

And I doubt he would be here long as well. My take on OBJ is this. If he is healthy then the Bills should sign him for this year. He probably won't be ready until the end of the regular season anyway so what would he be complaining (diva behavior) about? He plays during the stretch run. If he helps the Bills win a Super Bowl then everybody wins. The party in WNY would be off the charts insane. OBJ can then go look to cash in on a big contract with another team. If it doesn't work out then see ya don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out. I wouldn't give him a long term contract if I was Beane.  His history with injuries doesn't make it worth it. Short term one year deal why not?

This sounds reasonable… I just worry with having Diggs and Davis there won’t be enough balls to go around. I think McKenzie needs to get the ball more and if you have Cook catching balls out of the backfield there won’t be much for OBJ.

We should sign OBJ immediately.

People are worried about taking snaps away from poor Gabe Davis - what a crock!  What exactly has Davis done to even get snaps?  A few fluke catches for some meaningless touchdowns and some fancy-pants sideline grabs for show.  And now he's injured to boot!  We need a reliable guy like OBJ who has a long history of staying healthy.

Oh, I can already hear the homers saying that Davis is a rising talent and that his blocking can help our anemic run game and that OBJ's best years might be behind him blah, blah, blah.  OBJ is established as one of the greatest blockers that the league has ever seen at that position and there is absolutely no reason to believe that he has slowed down at all.
