Let's kick it off by celebrating a major kick in the nuts to NY's (and other blue states) draconian gun laws making conceal carry permits nearly impossible for law abiding citizens to get. Remember, the police won't protect you when a mutant leftist mob attacks but they will be there for janitor clean up duty and to file a report that a Soros backed DA will throw in the round file! Word is that Krazy Kathy is trying to come up with a new law to skirt the SCOTUS ruling but we all know that it won't hold up to any legal challenges and will just stall the inevitable which is the restoration of your God given rights.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the majority that the Constitution protects “an individual’s right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home.”

 

“In a major expansion of gun rights, the Supreme Court said Thursday that Americans have a right to carry firearms in public.

The justices’ 6-3 decision follows a series of recent mass shootings and is expected to ultimately allow more people to legally carry guns on the streets of the nation’s largest cities — including New York, Los Angeles and Boston — and elsewhere. About a quarter of the U.S. population live in states expected to be affected by the ruling, the high court’s first major gun decision in more than a decade.”

Speaking of badass Clarence Thomas, he dropped another truth bomb on the alleged "protector of minorities" liberal fascists who only use them as cannon fodder at the voting booth and as a hornet's nest they can beat to destabilize society. The policies destroy people, and, ultimately, I think, we’re going to destroy the very thing that allows us to have liberty and to have a free society.

It turns out a bunch of Democrats labelled them as such but recently sent them billions of dollars in weapons. I guess they don't care about it now that they're on "our side."

Max Rose (NY), led a letter signed by forty Democrats asking the State Department why they had not placed Ukraine’s Azov Battalion on the U.S. list of “foreign terrorist organizations” (FTOs).

In the letter, the lawmakers compared the Azov Battalion to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and discussed how, Brenton Tarrant, the Christchurch, New Zealand mosque shooter, who massacred fifty-one people in 2019, had been radicalized by the “ultranationalist militia organization” which “openly welcomes neo-Nazis into its ranks”...

...On March 10, 2022, Congressman Ro Khanna deleted a tweet saying, “the U.S. has been complicit in the rehabilitation and spread of neo-Nazis in Ukraine. Enough is enough! Our government must stand up to the Azov Battalion and other fascist groups.”

 

After attempting to end U.S. military aid to the Azov Battalion in 2018 and asking to place the Ukrainian militia on the U.S. list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2019, every Democrat in Congress (and the majority of Republicans) voted to send more than $31 billion in weapons to Ukraine in 2022.

In other news even CNN's super anti-white liberal Van Jones drops a truth bomb on his own network. Will CNN show him the door? Who knows, at this point it's a business model that loses money every year with its only viewers being hostages at the airport who are forced to see it and maybe your poor grand parents in that assisted living facility. He does make a good point that the so-called intellectual elite are out of touch with the common person and also lack what these people have - namely common sense. A verbose vocabulary does not make for a mind skilled in practical applications.

 

 

Hey do you remember that Democrat "family man" candidate who ran against DeSantis and nearly succeeded with the usual DNC cheat codes applied who was then found drugged out in a hotel after a tryst with his gay lover? He's back in the news baby! Isn't it funny how they keep trying to pin these sort of things on the Trump family and then wind up looking like a defeated Wile E. Coyote as another one of theirs get ensnared in the net?

 

Former Democrat darling and gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum was indicted yesterday on federal corruption charges. For those of you who are not from Florida, Governor DeSantis narrowly beat popular democrat Gillum by just a handful of votes in 2018. A few months later, Gillum was arrested in a sordid and shameful scandal involving crack cocaine, male prostitutes, and details that I can’t describe in a family blog.

As bad as those optics were politically, the new charges are more serious and more substantial. Gillum is accused of a long list of complicated bribery schemes involving his private PAC, fake FBI real-estate developers, and pay-for-play politics while Gillum was mayor of Tallahassee.

The former mayor and failed gubernatorial candidate remains popular with Florida democrats, who see him as some kind of Robin-hood-style rascal or something. For his part, Gillum says he looks forward to having his day in court to prove his, um, technical innocence. Good luck!

Final news shot: A based group in Germany put up a display of all the deaths from vaccine complications and people are waking up all over the globe to the malfeasance done by Big Pharma who think they can inject health with their voodoo elixirs. Is it science? Partly, but it's more scientism twisted by the wills of corporations who want to make money while giving you the illusion that they are the keeps of magic panaceas that will save you. Newsflash - they can't! If you've got chronic conditions and live on a diet of ramen and Cheetos there's not much they can do for you except give you a bottle of mega Flintstones vitamins, painkillers, happy pills, and send you on your way and let's not even get into how unsuccessful their vaccines have been against respiratory viruses like the flu. Basically they're modern day versions of Rockefeller's snake oil but, just as in the days of the Wild West, people will swear that they helped owing more to a placebo effect than actual medicinal value.

1935: Almost all Republicans in Congress oppose the creation of Social Security.

1939: 75 percent of Republicans in Senate try to kill legislation providing Social Security benefits to dependents and survivors as well as retired workers.

1950: 79 percent of House and 89 percent of Senate Republicans vote against disability insurance to defeat it.

1956: 86 percent of Republicans in Senate oppose disability insurance; program approved nonetheless.

1964: Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater and future president Ronald Reagan both suggest that Social Security be made voluntary.

1965: 93 percent of Republicans in House and 62 percent in Senate vote to kill Medicare.

1977: 58 percent of Senate votes against amendment to provide semiannual increases.

1977: 88 percent of Republicans in House and 63 percent in Senate vote against an increase in Social Security payroll tax needed to keep the system solvent.

1981: President Reagan proposes $35 billion in Social Security cuts over the next 5 years. The cuts would have included the elimination of student benefits, lump-sum death benefits, and a retroactive elimination of the $122 minimum benefit for three million recipients. (Congress ultimately enacted $24 billion of the proposed cuts.)

1981: Reagan administration begins a wholesale review of the Social Security Disability rolls, resulting in over 560,000 eligibility investigations in 1982 — 360,000 more than the year before. Ultimately, at least 106,000 families were removed from the rolls.

1981: 99 percent of Republicans in House and 98 percent in Senate vote for legislation containing $22 billion in Social Security and Medicare cuts.

1981: Reagan administration proposes a three-month delay in 1982 cost-of-living increases.

1981: Reagan administration proposes $200 billion in Social Security cuts between 1982 and 1990. The cuts include a reduction in early retirement benefit; tightened disability eligibility standards; delay in the 1982 cost-of-living adjustment and a 10 percent eventual reduction in benefits for all new retirees. (The U.S. Senate repudiated the President’s proposals by a vote of 96 to 0.)

1982: President Reagan and Senate Republicans propose $40 billion in benefit cuts over three fiscal years. 1985: Reagan administration backs attempts by Republican Senate leadership to eliminate the 1986 Social Security COLA. Vice President Bush casts the tie-breaking vote to eliminate COLA. (House defeats it – it was never enacted.)

1990s: Efforts to end Social Security took the form of appealing to younger workers to put “their” Social Security insurance payments into the stock market.

2005: A Labor-led fight against privatization saved Social Security for the time being.

2006: President George W. Bush, once again, includes privatization of Social Security in his 2007 budget.

Uhhh... what the hell does Social Security have to do with ANYTHING on this thread? You may be surprised to know that I thought Dubya's idea to privatize it was dumb too. If anything he should have given the people the ability to opt out and use the savings for their own investment.

It is and it started off well enough but then got corrupted into a honeypot for the government and paid off to people who never put into it causing a fiduciary crisis exacerbated by rising life expectancy. Not every liberal policy is inherently bad.
