SpikedLemonade Posted February 23, 2022 Share Posted February 23, 2022 I now believe the call came from an unhinged Fish Aquarium Supply Amazon Seller located in Orillia, Ontario. I now have his name and address. I received two abusive phone calls from him on my cell phone yesterday afternoon wherein he used the words fuck or fuckin' a dozen times, called my wife a cunt, called us liars and threatened us with physical harm. I was in shock on the first call and so was my wife. On the second call, I got my head together and unloaded in typical Spike fashion. It was a simple return of an Aqua Clear A615 Fish Tank Filter that he apparently believed was too dirty to be the one we had bought from him a month ago. The sale came through Amazon. I have informed Amazon and also spoke to Amazon Management. They were as shocked as I was with this Seller's behaviour and immediately delisted his ability to sell through them. Obviously, they have provided me a refund. Amazon Management has advised me to report the Seller to the Police. The dots seemed all connected now to that voicemail message. I did not even know that Amazon allowed private sellers to use their platform. The caller found my cell phone number because he shipped directly to me. I did the research and you can find a person's cell phone number when they know your last name and address. I want to apologize to anyone on The Range that I suggested may have been the caller. It was not malicious on my part -- I simply did not know who I could have pissed off so much as to leave such a voice mail message to me other than perhaps someone here. I am relieved it was not someone on The Range and again apologize for suggesting it was someone from here. I have not been to Orillia for 10+ years -- it is about a 2 hour drive due north of Toronto -- and they do have a different accent than people who reside in the GTA. Not an American accent. I also apologize for jumping to that conclusion as well.
