Popular Post seandelevan
For the missing pieces. Do what the Rams did. They’re in the Super Bowl now. What rookie are we picking at 29 or whatever is going to put us past the chiefs and put us in the Super Bowl? I’ll even be fine with trading a pick for a proven stud on defense! We are just kicking the can down the road if we think throwing rookies on the defensive line is going to get us a Super Bowl before Allen’s cap hit. 1

Clearly, the answer is a really super speedy fast WR or a "shutdown CB" to play across from our other "shutdown CB" or that illusive "field stretching" have to game plan for TE. Pretty much anything except Interior Offensive Linemen to protect our $250M investment OR a 1DT to protect our retarded MLB. 1 Quote Do Your Part to Improve The Range -- Please put the TRIO OF TRUMP FLUFFERSTM on IGNORE
Popular Post Nuke
Yes, look at Beane’s drafts, outside of Allen the best use of any of his 1st or 2nd round picks was the one he traded for Diggs. 3 Quote Ed Oliver is my adopt-a-Bill

VolsBillsMagic
That's a big gamble. Using LA as an example on how to build a team isn't ideal because think of the madness if they lose that game yesterday. They are going all in for the next year or two which is great if you win, but they will be screwed over the next 5 years after this window closes. Not to mention I think we are still better than they are
Popular Post 212frawk
I'm sorry, werent the bills like, a few seconds from beating the chiefs but for a brain fart at the end of reg? They dont have the cap space to trade all their picks. They are currently 1.3M OVER the cap. Than can make room tho. Morse is $11M but less than 4 dead cap. restructure or cut. ukulele still a 7.7M dead cap. stuck with him. Beas 7.6M cap hit but only 1.5 dead cap. restructure or cut Feliciano 5M but only 1.5 dead cap. c'ya Haaaaaack 1.9 but .7 dead cap. ciao Maybe they can free up $10M but that wont get dick in FA after paying the rookie class. Trade all your picks for one early 1st!

Yep. It's so funny to think back about the mock drafts for that year. Everyone and their uncle had Epenesa mocked to the Bills at the 50-whatever pick and sure as shit... BAM!!! The year before that - it was the same damn thing with Oliver @9.

Victor7
If not for a dropped int Rams are out of it. Football is a game of luck sometimes. Rams were literally one decent set of hands on that 49ers safety from being eliminated. Their model is not what we should aspire to be. We HAD the Chiefs beat. Even after allowing Mahomes to do whatever he wanted all game long it was done, but alas McD and Frazier had one more stupidity in their pockets. I maintain that this team is ready. They just need to be smarter in the big moments. One more win during the regular season where we lost all the close games and we would've hosted the Chiefs. This year it was literally the little things that did us in, aka bad luck. It plays more into life than people wanna admit. 13 seconds man. That's how close we were despite the D taking the day off (again). 2 Quote Bills fan for life!! ................ Popular Post Baldat28
I agree. I'd rather get a proven guy than to keep looking. They've spent, the last two first round picks, the last two 2nd rounders on D-lineman, and yet they Beane mentions D-line again in his press conference. Could have used those on proven players and not have to worry
Buffalochief2
We have to hit on our draft picks. The next couple of years for Beane will make or break this team. IMO we need a sack artist, speed wideout or running back, interior O-linemen, speed DB and punter. Some of these can be filled by talent on the team developing (Groot or Boggie at DE, Bates or Touchdown Tommy on OL) others will have to be drafted (speed) and some can be approved by literally anyone (punter).

We are just kicking the can down the road if we think throwing rookies on the defensive line is going to get us a Super Bowl before Allen’s cap hit. Trading picks works well in the short term. But drafted players are infinitely cheaper than veteran players you trade for so you potentially put yourself in Cap Hell 3 yers down the road. Selectively, for one specific player, it can work. See Stefon Diggs. However, we gave away a 1st round pick, 4th round pick, a 5th and a 6th, and got back a 7th. Lets cancel out the 6th and 7th. So a 1st, 4th and 5th. If 2 of those 3 picks were players that contribute, they are with the team for 4 years at dirt cheap contracts. Diggs will cost us almost $18 million this year. Just have to balance out the 2 approaches. Trading our first for a stud DE would make sense (depending on that players contract). But who? If you are bored, look at some YouTube highlights on WR Kyle Philips, UCLA for the slot. He has some juice. You might be able to get him in the 3rd round (like Cooper Kupp). He is a kick return too. Taken several to the house. Another kicker return is CB Marcus Jones, Houston, who also plays nickel corner well. He is a bit short though. Jermaine Johnson, DE, Florida State is rumored to be faster than most DEs, so he is worth a look. Otherwise we don't know the speed of most players until the NFL Combine. If he can run under 4.5 he would be a nice slot option.

More of Sean talking out of both sides of his mouth. In several other threads and in shout box, he "Begs" and "PLEADS" with Bills to draft weapons like Bengals did. Now he wants Bills to trade picks for playmakers. Sean continues to embarrasses himself. Just makes threads saying 2 different things and then bumps the one that actually plays out. Notice how you are the only one who cares? I can fucking advocate for both motherfucker. I don’t care how the fuck the Bills get better….as long as they do….but drafting more defensive lineman is the furthest from that objective. My preference: 1. Using picks to acquire proven talent. Either side of the ball. Don’t care. 2. Draft playmakers/oline help for the offense end of fucking list
