We live on a planet with finite resources. Capitalism can't continue year over year profits forever. It's impossible.

Capitalism can only function with a massive impoverished class. We are getting to the point where people can't pay for their basic necessities. We have thousands homeless and millions only one paycheck away from the streets. With a working class working to pay off debts.

What? I'm fully vaxxed. Which I have said before.

The first paragraph is from capitalism.   But it's not just labor, it's innovation and enterprise.  Remember that.

Which resources are finite?  Abiotic Geologic Fuel naturally replenishes.  We can't breathe up all of the air nor drink the entire planet's water reserve.   There is ample acreage to sustain 10s of billions.  We are only limited by our imagination and the restraints placed on our minds by totalitarian socialism.  There are many totalitarian socialist countries that are impotent to utilize their natural resources.   The people are not at fault; those countries have politicians that think as you.

The third paragraph is totally wrong.   There is no true Capitalist society on earth.   However, the nation's that lean toward capitalism have the highest standard of living for all classes.

The 4th paragraph?  You haven't exactly established any level of credibility.   I will reserve judgment but wisely, I am skeptical.

You think ingenuity and enterprise can't happen in a market socialist society?

Fossil fuels take millions of years to form, while they also continue to pollute the planet. That's how clean air and water are finite. There are only so many precious metals and minerals.

The societies that embrace social policies have the highest levels of wealth and happiness.

I think we can all agree that Citizens United was a trash ruling, CEOs should not make like 300 times what the highest paid worker does, and the Fed needs to stop printing money.

It is the corporations that have always corrupted our government. Take money out of politics. Do not allow legalized bribery known as lobbying to exist. Do not let elected officials hold individual stocks.

Here is a far more effective place to start. Kill 2 birds with one stone and get the majority of people collecting welfare fraudulently OFF the welfare roles and we will stop so many democrats from getting elected in the slums and war zones across America. The only reason that half of the democrats keep getting re-elected is because welfare bums don't want to lose their meal tickets.

You are so simple, You say "We are getting to the point where people can't pay for their basic necessities". What do you think happens when a business is forced to pay higher wages and benefits? How do you think that money is replaced by business? The very employees that get a raise in income are then forced to pay higher prices everywhere in society as well as inflation. Here is an idea, if one job can't pay your bills how about getting 2 jobs or even 3?

If you can only stay in business by exploiting workers paying them 7.25, your business is trash. I see the range economists haven't realized that labor can exert its power as a market force.

Don’t forget your competing with other countries. My wife is a production manager for a local company. They make parts for other companies, it’s her job to call these other companies and line up the work. One of these companies has been pulling jobs from her company slowly and sending that work to Mexico. My wife’s company hasn’t raised what they charge this other company in almost 8 years because of fear that they will pull all their work. Even though my wife’s company prices to make the products has gone up through wage increases and inflation. This other company has asked that my wife’s company inventory everything they have in stock for them and has requested a meeting in two weeks. The rumor is that they are getting ready to pull everything and go exclusively to Mexico. Your idea of paying everyone $30 an hour sounds great in a vacuum. The Democratic Party is big on open borders. And you justify bringing in illegal immigrants by saying “they do the jobs Americans won’t” I work construction, that might be a job you and a lot of others won’t do, but myself and hundreds of others in my union will. There was a huge job in the old Kodak park a few years back that a Texas  company did for slightly over half the price of our local contractors using all immigrants. Legal or illegal? I can’t say, being inside a gated area it was impossible for our Union officials to get at. We know that it was done with Mexicans because of other contractors on the job. There’s another huge job being bid in the same area and the thought is that this next one might be done similar. Open borders, a global economy and $30 an hour for all Americans just doesn’t add up. I wish it did, but it doesn’t.

This has been an issue for decades and anyone in Buffalo watched it happen as some of the largest industrial companies closed up while their businesses moved to other countries. Here, many of the people I know who work at CAT have spent time in China, while CAT continues to have rolling layoff, use third-party hiring firms whose workers are promised 90 days before being replaced or in some rare instances given permanent jobs at Caterpillar.

I used to say I would not vote for another President until real reform to the labor force was on the table. And be glad you're in a union - because only 11% of US workers are anymore. That's not only sad but a testament to why wages are stagnant, health insurance is not affordable and so many people/families have to have multiple income streams just to survive.

Sending jobs over seas for cheap labor has been a bipartisan effort.

A general strike would bring the 1% to their knees. This is the time to do it. There is no better time. Americans should be prepared so sit home as long as possible until wages go up. It has to some extent worked already. Wages have risen slightly in some sectors, but benefits are not much better.

Yep. It’s still a big problem that needs to be solved before you can drastically increase American wages in manufacturing and other areas directly effected by outsourcing

I agree with that but from what I've seen with my own union they're too cowardly to do that. They've done things to undermine our power like staggering contract expirations to happen at different times throughout the country so we can't all just walk at once giving them leeway to send in managers and scabs to try and pick up the work (which they never succeed at for very long). The way it plays out now is that most unions are just WWE heels making backroom deals with the companies and acting tough in public for the members.

What are you not understanding? If walmart makes billions every year and is sitting on billions in cash. THEY CAN AFFORD TO PAY THEIR WORKERS MORE.

same goes for McDonald's, Amazon, Microsoft, and many others.

Most of those companies could double the pay of their lowest paid workers and still make billions in profits. It's all about greed.

Yes, there are shitty unions. But, union heads can be voted out. Put people in place who have the balls to stand up to capital.

Ok, why are you blaming the immigrants and not the capitalists who take advantage of them? They are the ones hiring them.

Maybe instead of bashing immigrants you should UNITE with them for better pay. Divide and conquer works if you blame the wrong people.

Welfare fraud is only like 3-5% of people. Incase you haven't noticed democrats are not the only people on welfare. Republicans don't want to help people. The democrats don't either, but at least half measure social programs are better than nothing. 90% of welfare benefits go to SINGLE PARENTS. So if you want to take those resources away from CHILDREN, that makes you a special kind of asshole. One of thise good Christians I'm sure.

We've tried that and we just get another guy who goes in with energy and then somehow flips around. I think they just give them a sitdown on how they're supposed to work and then all of the vigor evaporates.

You can lead a horse to water. A lot of illegal immigrants a fine with working for minimum wage or in many cases below. Try and get a work visa in Canada. It’s almost impossible. Canada is all about Canada first. When they had the tar sands going on in Alberta, they couldn’t possibly man it with Canadian labor. Still it took almost an act of God to get a work visa. And if you had a DWI forget it. You can’t get a work visa in Canada with a DWI.  Meanwhile, murders and rapists can walk across our southern border no question asked. I am 100% about the labor force. I’m sorry about the rest of the worlds problems but we need to take care of America  before we can solve the world’s problems. I was hard core Democrat before 2016. Then along came a candidate that preached secure borders and America first and I said SOLD.
