Yes, I do believe you need to actually see a weapon before shooting.

The weapon may not have to be in the persons hands, but you have to see that he is reaching for some sort of weapon before ending their life.

Otherwise, you have police acting as judge, jury and elocutionary and all they have to say was "I think he was going to get a weapon".

A crystal ball would have helped the cops I guess.

ive said this before, but i watched two young teens in the hood practicing with a pistol shaped object where to hide it and how to fake compliance so they could whip it out and get a shot off as fast as possible

cops arent mind readers. they also have delayed reaction from their eyes to their hands just like every other human. and suspects arent hit with a freeze ray when they are shot, they can keep fighting. he could have turned around at any time, absorbed several pistol hits to non-vital places, and killed one or both of those cops with the knife he was holding

waiting to see a weapon or what a suspect is going to do when they are heading to a place they could have a (even more) deadly weapon, or making sudden movements that could be retrieving a weapon on their person, would leave more cops going home in coffins

full compliance to lawful orders during an investigation is the ONLY way to ensure the cops and everyone elses safety

it boggles my mind how people cant see how obvious this is. especially smart people. its like you live in a fantasy world where blacks havent been killing more people THAN ALL OTHER RACES COMBINED for the last forty-plus years. theres plenty of cop haters in all races, but blacks are especially dangerous

this one is ridiculously obvious as the suspect has a killing knife in his hand!

It's the job of the police to protect and serve. They also need to protect themselves when criminals resist arrest.

Just like Floyd and many others...if you don't commit crimes and don't resist arrest, then these things won't happen.

even if he didnt have the knife in his hand, i dont understand why you dont understand those cops CANNOT let him get inside his vehicle bc they have no idea what he has in there and how he intends to use it

i use this example all the time and it amazingly seems to have no impact, but if one of those cops is your mom and she knows that blacks kill more people THAN ALL OTHER RACES COMBINED (another fact people mostly ignore), do you want her to wait until she sees what hes getting and what hes going to do with it before she shoots? its entirely realistically possible for him to reach in the door pocket for a gun stored there and pull it out and kill your mama before she can respond. he can even take a bullet or two and STILL use that weapon to kill one or both cops or other civilians in the area

those cops absolutely CAN NOT let him get to that car or his house or even move in a manner that would allow him to retrieve a weapon. they are in mortal danger if they do. therefore, the standard in a law and order country is that you MUST comply with a lawful order until the investigation is complete in order to safeguard the life of the officers and all others in the area

why is this so complicated? im presenting you with facts and ironclad logic, and you are presenting me with fantasies about how cops can wait to see the mortal danger before responding to an uncooperative and law breaking suspect

its unreal how generally smart people cant wrap their heads around the reality of those dangerous situations and come up with all kinds of ridiculous suggested procedures that are going to do nothing but put everybodys life in extreme danger

Proof of my point that a shot suspect is still a mortal danger. At any time he could have found his gun and killed someone even after being shot. Cops had no choice to continue to shoot until he wasnt a threat

This is COMPLETELY on the guy they shot.  What was he thinking?  Do as the cops say, don't get up, don't walk around the car and try to get in it.  He brought it all on himself.  The news media and others have been way too quick to pass judgement regardless.

What gun? So far you’ve accused him of carrying a knife and having a gun and there was no night and I have not heard anything about him having a gun
