Meathead
the automatic half-line space appears convenient at first, but it messes up posting articles. portions of the article might be fine, but others are squashed together until you go through and manually enter a line-space - which then ends up a 1.5 line space and the spacing of the entire article is now skewed this also doesnt allow you to compose posts in an off-line editor - unless you want to put up with not knowing where paragraphs are. i often write my longer posts in Notepad, just in case theres a failure that makes me lose the whole thing the half-line space is way more of a hassle than its worth, imo Quote One set of rules for all in The Beloved Community "The word racism is like ketchup. Meathead
yes you can see on articles posted where the op had to put line spaces in to separate paragraphs because the line spacing is different from the ones that put in a half-space by default. it hasnt been consistent - some copied lines get the half-space and some dont we didnt have these half-space lines at the old range so i dont think it would be any trouble for ppl to get used to it again Quote One set of rules for all in The Beloved Community "The word racism is like ketchup. The current posts will look a little weird though.
Meathead
The post prior to the change will look weird because they will be smooshed together. But the new posts will look normal. I'm surprised there isn't just a line spacing option that lets you increase or decrease the post paragraph space in increments. Unless there is, then you could wait a little while to see if we just get used to it or if it looks a little too big just reduce it a small amount Quote One set of rules for all in The Beloved Community "The word racism is like ketchup. Meathead
lol @ trump yeah, it looks like theres still a tiny post paragraph spacing that still exists. this is making the paragraphs look a little too far apart i assume you turned the post paragraph spacing all the way down. if thats the case then i guess we will just have to count on getting used to paragraphs being a tiny bit more far apart than usual Quote One set of rules for all in The Beloved Community "The word racism is like ketchup. Meathead
ugh this paragraph spacing thing is turning into a hassle now when i pre-write a post in notepad, then copy/paste it here, its just one big blob with no paragraph spacing - even though i put spaces in between the paragraphs! why would it remove those paragraph spaces? this is one weird editor Quote One set of rules for all in The Beloved Community "The word racism is like ketchup. I'm going to try another possibility.
