People who don't have jobs who are able bodied & of working age are bums who don't understand the dignity of working and being self sufficient and/or providing for others. Some actually have pride & don't want to be bums. For the ones who want to work, it can be pretty depressing not being able to work. When I was in my 20s I got fired at the start of my profession and had to go back and live in my parents' basement. I was pretty fucking miserable until I snapped myself out of it, moved away to a place I could afford to live & went back to the profession I was fired from. I didn't want to be a worthless bum living in my parents basement, but that's just me. I guess it's not so bad to be unemployed if you like being a freeloading bum.
