Love the pick. The absence of Beasley last year was so bad for us that we had to go get him off his couch. Having a reliable option in the slot is priceless. Color me impressed that McBeane resisted their impulse to draft another DE5 points

2022 - 70 receptions - 8 TDs. That is a lot of catches for a TE.4 points

Thats just it though Bills already have a highly paid TE and never use him...so now all of a sudden we need another TE? Are they changing the Offense totally? are they going to run out of a m,ostly 2 TE set?? then im excited..but if this was a pickup for only like 2-3 formations and 20% of the game plan ..you cant BLOW a 1st on that! So if they are going to switchup and run a 2TE offense 50% of the time with guys like Diggs outside Knox and Kincard out there and then Cook(pass catching RB) or even Hines out of the backfield.. ok im intrigued But you really would have to change up the offense to do this you cant just run what we have been doing and "toss him in there" and think... situation solved... you really do need to run a different offense to get him to be the "matchup" nightmare he is supposedly...as you need a S or LB covering him not for them just to swap over a big CB to shut him down....and then the other thing you need to be able to do is if youre running that 2TE set with him and Knox you need to be able to RUN EFFECTIVELY and thats what the 2TE set is predicated on....the D not knowing if your going to run or pass to a TE.. because if you cant run you just keep loading up Nickle or dime all day because who cares if Cook gets 2 yards a carry...I think if they could swtich this up a bit they could be dangerous.. and its something no team thats played the Bills has seen before from them so something new...4 points

R1 (25) BUFFALO BILLS (VIA JAX): TE DALTON KINCAID, UTAH Pick Grade: Elite The Bills make a small jump to land the premier pass-catching tight end in the draft in Kincaid. This is a huge value pick for the 10th overall player on the PFF big board. Kincaid was the focal point of the Utah offense and led all players at the position with a 91.8 PFF receiving grade in 2022.3 points

Beane got the best hands in the draft by trading up… I love it. You can fuck off3 points

I hope there's a really good center that can play guard to start out available when we pick next. If not a LB.3 points

That's not what I have heard. I've read all over the place that they were taking him.2 points

I'm surprised he isn't bitching about a wasted pick. I mean why get an offensive weapon when you already have the No. 2 offense right?2 points
-
I think WR is out the door now that they got Kincaid. We seem to be set at RB too. So its going to be defense from here on out unless there's a good OL available.2 points

He’s really more of a big slot WR than an actual TE2 points
-
Yes he can be. Plays reckless, so I worry about nagging injuries. Will Dorsey be able to scheme for him? Will Josh throw a ball under 20 yards downfield?2 points
-
Yeah sure , if Allen ever decides to target the TE’s more every week this will be a waste of a 1st round pick in my eyes. Allen has never targeted TE’s in his career NFL or college, when he senses trouble he doesn’t look for his safety valve TE to dump off too , he scrambles and goes2 points

So after Bean screwed up this draft by trading up and losing a 4th round pick in the process, I will try to save it with my post 1st round mock. We get a rotational DT and a potential starter at G/C. 5 and 6 are PS candidates although the Bills could keep 6 WR's. 2. Gervon Dexter*, DT, Florida Height: 6-6. Weight: 308. Projected 40 Time: 5.20. Projected Round (2023): 2-4. 3/25/23: Dexter totaled 50 tackles, two sacks, one pass batted and an interception during 2022. He put together impressive games against Utah and LSU. Dexter also played really well versus Kentucky, collecting seven tackles, .5 sacks, and a diving interception. He is a beast as a run defender and showed more pass-rush ability in 2022. However, he still is not much of a pass rusher for the NFL and will probably get pulled in the sub package. 7/5/22: Even though the Florida defense struggled in 2021, Dexter flashed and played well for the Gators. He totaled 50 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one pass defended on the year. Dexter has good size, length, quickness and strength. He could be poised for big things as an upperclassman. 3. Emil Ekiyor Jr., G/C, Alabama Height: 6-3. Weight: 314. Arm: 33.88. Hand: 9.5. Projected 40 Time: 5.35. Projected Round (2023): 3-4. 3/18/23: Ekiyor was a 3-year starter at guard for Alabama and a powerful force as a run blocker. He has a strong build with the ability to lock up defenders in the ground game. For the NFL, Ekiyor could start out as a backup that develops into a starter at guard or center. Teams liked how Ekiyor looked at center in the Senior Bowl. 5. Bryce Ford-Wheaton, WR, West Virginia Height: 6-4. Weight: 221. Arm: 33.5. Hand: 9.38. 40 Time: 4.38. Projected Round (2023): 4-6. 3/11/23: Ford-Wheaton had an excellent combine, showing off serious speed for a big receiver. In 2022, he totaled 62 catches for 675 yards and seven touchdowns. It was his best season of production, as he did not have a big season in 2021 (42-575-3) or in 2020 (27-416-3). 6. Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota Height: 6-2. Weight: 210. Projected 40 Time: 4.55. Projected Round (2023): 5-7. 3/18/23: In 2022, Nubin totaled 55 tackles, four interceptions, three passes broken up and a forced fumble. 7/1/22: In 2021, Nubin was a decent defender for the Gophers, recording 49 tackles, three interceptions and two passes defended. For the NFL, Nubin would have to fit as a backup strong safety and special teams contributor to start out his career. Then he may be able to grow beyond that role.1 point

What I like about Kincaid the most is he catches the ball and has big hands. Granted he is a little under weight and needs some weight room to get to the next level. I definitely prefer this pick to drafting a smurf wr. Now we at least have a big target for winter games in dec to throw the ball to.1 point

No Whor, I don't think I will. Not sure why you are on tilt but for a 1st and a 4th, DK better be Kelce and Bills better have #1 offense or pick is an EPIC FAIL and I will dunking on you regularly about it.1 point

Did not expect Kincaid, but he was rated as the top Pass catching TE in the draft. However I was a bit surprised they traded up to get him, when Meyers was still on the board as well. Beane must really believe he is substantially a better player than Meyer to move up to get him. All in all I am happier that we did not draft a smurf WR....need some big/tall guys to catch the ball when the weather gets cold and the field gets slippery!1 point
