Was that what Jesus said about the poor? LOL jk

He said that we should help the poor, windowed, disabled, and refugees. However we have social programs to deal with that paid for by our tax money and local churches normally have programs to deal with such. Now there is the tricky question of the law, which we must obey, unless it is a direct violation of God. Illegal immigrants directly violate a nation's laws and aren't genuine refugees.

Romans 13:1–7

Submission to the Authorities

13 Let every person pbe subject to the governing authorities. For qthere is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you rwill receive his approval, 4 for she is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, tan avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also ufor the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 vPay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

Then there's Leviticus 19:15:

"Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly."

Meaning, if someone is able bodied are they really poor by misfortune or by choice and do we have a duty to help someone who is becoming a burden to others?

Deuteronomy 15:7-8

"If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need."

Notice the word Israelite meaning that you're not giving handouts to any Joe Blow off the street but taking care of your own. You can find many verses about serving the poor but these verses are from a different time where there were fewer opportunities. If you are able to work then why aren't you chipping in? Does the Bible have anything to say about this? Ask no more.

Ephesians 4:28
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

Again, many more verses about laboring and essentially those who wish to be supported by society are thieves stealing the fruits of labor of everyone else. Support the truly poor? Absolutely. Support people not willing to work and violating the nation's laws? Not a chance.

Stay tuned for more Bible talk by SackMan!

Dude, why should our tax money go to help people who use their own money to buy illegal drugs? If you have kids to support I shouldn’t be paying for the healthcare of you and your child while spend your money on illegal drugs. What kind of sense does that make? How did you even type that and not think it wasn’t nonsense? Oh and by the way people for sure will sell their P-EBT card for drugs, absolutely!! Also did the Italian and Irish mob collect food stamps? Idk,  I had family on both sides and I think they worked for everything they got, and they weren’t here during slavery, and they all came through the right way, so… and vetting was probably difficult in 1901 I hear they had a lot of computer issues.

You realize you don't have to buy drugs to get drugs right? You never had a friend buy you beer or offer you a blunt?

And again, SNAP benefits aren't buying you drugs. Anywhere. Unless it's a business breaking the law.

You cant buy household items with EBT. That may be a reason why some people choose to sell then for cash.

Sounds like you made the case for why you should comply with vaccine mandates. You are subject to the governing authority.

The equality and justice people like him want is for illegals and people that game the system and abuse it to be able to do so even more on everyone else's dime that plays by the rules.

He'll claim otherwise and talk about taking it from the rich and corporations, but the socialists/communists he supports never actually do what they say, and the middle class foots the majority of the bill for our wasteful and completely corrupt government.

Don't buy into anything this dude is selling...it's all a crock of shit

Did you miss the part about unjust rules and violating God's laws?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Ephesians 5:11
11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

For more Bible answers I'm here for you bro.

Beer is a legal drug, but like I said I don’t believe taxpayers should pay for you and your children so you can feed your addiction. It’s like the bum on the street asking for money and they turn around and buy alcohol or drugs with the money instead of cleaning up getting a job or some food or a place to stay. I give the bum money but it’s my choice, I let God decide what to do if they use it for substance abuse.

Yup!! It’s my favorite when an atheist throws the Bible verses at you in an argument. They almost always use it in the wrong context. All those years of acid and bong hits and living on the celestial plane lol. Wait that’s SJ

You think the God of the old testament is just? Lol

You'll use any part of the Bible to justify your stupidity no matter what. Which is why religion is poison.

The New Testament describes a new Covenant with God. Why don't you read up on it sometime instead of looking more and more like a moron?

You were quoting the OT too.

Nah, I'm good. I'm not into fairytales.

Yet you seem to never have anything to say about Muslims even though more are killed each year by Muslims than any other religion

Because white christian nationalism poses a greater threat to my life than radical muslims.

Which Muslims are doing all that killing? Ahh that's right the fundamentalists. The right wing nuts. Just like over here. Same crazies just a different flavor.

Yeah but none of them live by it. They're like the Jimmy Swaggarts of Marxism.
