HipKat 388 Posted April 6 So for anyone not following along, Moody's recently did some modeling that predicts the U.S. economy will add 19 million jobs over a 10 year period if the infrastructure bill is passed and about 16.3 million jobs over that same period if its not passed. So the infrastructure bill is estimated to add about 2.7 million additional new jobs over that 10 year period. Buttigieg and one other administration official both spoke about this about both mentioned the 19 million figure, which is grossly misleading. They weren't lying, because both would have to be complete IDIOTS to think they could exaggerate 16.3 million jobs and not get fact-checked immediately. But they both fucked up and omitted critical information that misleads people, and that's a problem (for those of us who aren't in the MAGA crowd at least). This is not what our leaders should be doing (especially after four years of Trump). So Wolf Blitzer has Pete back on and fact-checks him and here is his response: Here's his response That is what competent leadership looks like. He fucked up, said something that was misleading, and made sure to be precise. Why? Because that's his fucking job. His job is to tell the people the truth. He could have just doubled down on the false statement (which would make it a lie). But he didn't. His last name isn't Trump and he's not a Republican 1 1 1 Quote “There he goes.
