*Pre-Draft Meeting* DB/S Jevon Holland, Oregon Ducks

Recommended Posts

Per @oregonfootball   S Jevon Holland has spoken with the #Bills (per Oregon Pro Day Zoom).

David Tilton@tiltmoney  "I asked Jevon if he styled his game after former Duck and BuffaloBill, Jairus Byrd, given the unique position he has as  a S/PR.  He said he mirrors his overall game after Tyrann Mathieu aka Honey Badger"

LANCE ZIERLEIN report = NFL comparsion Jordan Poyer

Versatile defensive back with good size, above-average instincts and impressive ball skills. Holland plays with good pattern recognition and anticipation underneath. He's willing and able in run support near the line of scrimmage, giving him value as a big nickel, but he lacks recovery burst and will struggle if he's matched one-on-one with speed from the slot. He has the football IQ and ball skills to handle split-safety duties but needs to continue fine-tuning his tackling technique. His added value as a punt returner should push him up the board a few spots.

OP:  Holland did not play in 2020 - having opted out because of Covid.  ProDay: Holland checked in at six-foot-and-a-half, 207 pounds with a 76-and-five-eights wingspan. He ran a 4.46 forty-yard time, 4.14 shuttle, recorded a 35.5-inch vertical, 10-foot, six-inch broad jump, while repping 225 pounds 19 times on the bench press. Most teams see him as a SAFETY in the pros.

Draft Targets: Top Corner, OL Quinn Meinerz, TE Tommy Tremble, KR/PR Avery Williams
