The Buffalo Bills are hosting former Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle La’Raven Clark on a free agent visit, per ESPN’s Field Yates. Brandon Beane loves adding bodies to the offensive line room during this time in the offseason and Clark would fit as a reserve offensive tackle.

Clark is a former third-round draft choice of the Colts. He’s played in 47 games, starting just 15, in five years with Indy. He was inactive or did not play in every game during the 2019 season, but the Colts still re-signed him to a one-year deal for 2020.

In 2020, Clark started three games for the injured Anthony Castonzo before tearing his Achilles in Week 13. With an injury like that on December 6th, it’s unlikely Clark is ready to go right now. That’s typically an 11 or 12-month injury recovery time.

While the Bills have Dion Dawkins and Daryl Williams locked in at left tackle and right tackle, respectively, they have a need for backup tackles following the departure of Ty Nsekhe. They signed Bobby Hart in March and Ryan Bates can play some tackle. Cody Ford is also an option, though the team seems settled in placing him at guard. They also have 2020 UDFA Trey Adams on the roster.

So he won't be healed until November or December? What's the point of signing him?

Pshh black names are so dumb. All of them. They want to get rid of Anglo names, fine by me.

That's why I named my first born Declyn Aris Fletcher.

Aris is for AR15. Luckily my wife didn't figure it out til I started calling my AR15 Declyn by mistake.
